I thought 'why on earth would someone be wanting to pay god knows how much to ship a £600 car abroad.' It's a scam. Report it to ebay anyway, even though you're not advertising with them

JAY PS Posted April 13, 2007 Report Posted April 13, 2007 Had a cheque arrive two years ago for v6 vectra i was selling for £2995 The cheque was for £4000 and there was no letter or anything with it I spoke to my mate at Scotland Yard and he said destroy the cheque and move the car out of sight and lock it away ,they had hand posted the letter to suss out the address and were coming back for the car without my permission ,there was a call the next day from miami giving me instructions ,i told him the car was sold ! At the time the police had 75 cases in my area of sw london from the same team The nick the v5 keys and hisory and sell the cars on to traders the same day they nicked House breaking in every case ! Beware dont sell to anyone who looks suss and dont let the car go anywhere until bankers draft has cleared +two days They can still bounce the day after they clear ! AND YOU HAVE NO COMEBACK! I trade cars for a living if you guys are concerned the pm me for advice

AND YOU HAVE NO COMEBACK! I have heard of scams where the draft is bounced back upto two weeks later as it orginated from a foreign account! This is most certainly a scam.
