RFChris Posted April 30, 2007 Report Posted April 30, 2007 Nothing.....paint keeps the weather off, thats it.
S2 Dee Posted April 30, 2007 Report Posted April 30, 2007 Maguiars car wash. and poorboys polish and wax. Top quality stuff. http://www.poorboysworld.com/ That or P21 blooming good too! http://www.thepolishingcompany.com/ P21 is readily available in the UK, whilst poorboys can be difficult to find.
Gareth Posted April 30, 2007 Report Posted April 30, 2007 Usually use Auto glym or turtle wax, depends on what's closest to hand at the time ATM I've mostly been using filler dust

louie bagel Posted April 30, 2007 Report Posted April 30, 2007 always use turtle wash and wax then give it a damn good rubbin thats for the classics i also love t-cut colour fast which ive got to do the thames with (cos i've peeled the stickers of) thats after using turtle wash and wax then i'll wax again after and the same with the transporter cos its red and gone dull i've never tried auto glym or maguires so i can't coment o and i recommend rain X for the glas i think we should have a cleaning room on this site i'm a buffer boy and i'm proud
lee_capri Posted April 30, 2007 Report Posted April 30, 2007 im lazy i go in one of those places at side of road and get a full vallet for £30 or park next door hoping to get a clean every-now and than as he loves my old ford but i never clean it my self im just to lazy for that
Slik 50 Posted April 30, 2007 Report Posted April 30, 2007 I normally wash mine at least twice a week. I have tried alsorts. Always start with either simon's wash and wax or turtle wax wash n wax. Then chammyed down with a decent chamoise. Take for a quick spin to blow the bits of water out then depending on what the weather is like ( temprature, Sunlight ect) I will use a varyation of wax. I like maguires wax but can be a little time consuming buffing of, but I do like turtle wax colour restorer and a wax called Zymol. Zymol is a pain to buff of but amazing finish. I have a bottle of Mer but not that impressed But I do like autoglym it is good quality and every thing do's what it says. Top stuff This guy is a little obbsesed though
tim Posted April 30, 2007 Report Posted April 30, 2007 turtle wax stuff in the green bottles is the nuts, super resin polish is good aswell, been hearin good stuff about poorboys products

johnny_h Posted April 30, 2007 Report Posted April 30, 2007 Autoglym super resin. Easy to use and great results.
sab6024 Posted April 30, 2007 Report Posted April 30, 2007 I use Autoglym Tried Simoniz Max Wax once couldn't get the stuff off once it dried
EscortDan Posted May 1, 2007 Report Posted May 1, 2007 All depends how good and long you want the car to stay clean and shine for! Meguiars is the nuts, I use the professional range, you can't get it in halfords like the NXT range and gold class though! I use the #7 polish followed by #16 mirror glaze, and beleive me mirror glaze is the nuts, it comes up like a mirror and feels silky smooth to the touch as well. Several layers of that on the car and all you need is a wash once a week with the gel wash and it stays looking good for months, I'm a bit sad though i wash it once a week then apply more wax to keep it topped up! Well worth the money and effort.
PaulAshman Posted May 1, 2007 Report Posted May 1, 2007 I am Autoglym through and through. Always have n always will!!!
jay Posted May 1, 2007 Report Posted May 1, 2007 i'm a car valeter, and i only use autoglym... i find its the best..
MK II Mark Posted May 2, 2007 Report Posted May 2, 2007 My wax of choice is Autoglym Super Resin Polish, I have used Turtle Wax for the last few months and found it to be average, I'm gonna revert to Autoglym next time round... I have just realised how much of an anorak I am Must try to be normal.... Must try to be normal.... Repeat until blue in face
