Genuine Raymond Mays MkII Zodiac, 20 odd thousand miles from new and referred to by the owner as 'Black Beauty'.... dont think he's far wrong there.

so what power did it make?

The original Raymond Mays spec, with the ally head and triple SU's was rated at 150bhp

But the car has done so few miles over its like it probably needs a proper set up.

But.... Who cares... when it looks like that....

:D

I've got a video of it on the rollers... Give me a bit of time (went out as soon as I got home and only just got back!) and I'll get it posted.

But it was gorgeous....

That is a beautiful car. I've never seen one before.

This coming weekend I have the pleasure of taking one of Raymond Mays much earlier creations to Wiscombe Park for a hill climb. Its a 1936 ERA called hanuman 2 r12b

http://www.ultimatecarpage.com/frame.ph ... arnum=2049

It puts out around 180 bhp and its only 1500cc!!!!

Oh, and I have to start it on a cranking handle

If any of you are in Devon, it should be a really cool petrolhead weekend!

Not sure about how many Fords will be racing but you just never know what will turn up.
