MK3_DC Posted October 5, 2006 Report Posted October 5, 2006 I was driving to work this morning and there was this beemer in front of me that looked brown, and I thought, you don't see many brown cars these days, I certainly wouldn't drive one, no offence to anyone that does. But it got me thinking, theres always surveys/questionnaires about what is your fave colour, fave this/fave that, but what is your least fave, mine is brown by chance, and I understand women will want to go deeper into colours like cerise and the like but just thought i'd ask, might help pass the day.
ZetecVan 2.0 Posted October 5, 2006 Report Posted October 5, 2006 My mate has a 29,000 mile, mint Austin Allegro which is brown with a beige (sorry, 'Champagne') interior. I restored a brown T reg mini once, but painted it blue after a few months. My wife had a brown mini too (around 10 years ago now I think about it).
orionmojo Posted October 5, 2006 Report Posted October 5, 2006 i would if it was original. but like v6 mat said, someone was talking yo his cousin "did you biuld that car?" to which he replied "if i built it would i have painted it brown"

CéDriC Posted October 6, 2006 Report Posted October 6, 2006 okay so technically its tuscan beige but still, it speaks for itself! To answer the original question if this YEEEEES
Anglia68 Posted October 6, 2006 Report Posted October 6, 2006 When I was a great deal younger I bought a brown Mk1 escort from just down the road and took a chance driving it home without insurance. You guessed it, I got pulled, for no good reason, and got 3 points and a £70 fine. A week later, this time fully legal,I drove round a corner in the snow and a young kid on a sled flew into the road so I swerved to avoid her, mounted the pavement and rammed an Allegro, also brown, sending it sliding down the road. This wrote my Escort off as the front end was full of tin worm so now with points on my licence,a hefty fine,it was 3 times my weekly wage at the time, plus no car and a huge hike in premiums my answer to the question is.....NO I DON'T LIKE BL**DY BROWN CARS"
Jimsiss Posted October 6, 2006 Report Posted October 6, 2006 I always wondered why they ever made brown cars but now I think about it I'd have a brown car, plus at the end of a rally most cars are brown
antz Posted October 6, 2006 Report Posted October 6, 2006 brown and beige are the ultimate sleeper colours
huxmk1estate Posted November 7, 2008 Report Posted November 7, 2008 what about beige? nothing wrong with beige... in fact i love it!!
Mustang Posted November 7, 2008 Report Posted November 7, 2008 I have a metallic brown mk5 as my daily driver (must admit I really hate the colour brown) but this is such a good car and she gives me no trouble but wouldnt have one by choice
