Morley Posted May 8, 2007 Report Posted May 8, 2007 Much to the disgust of all those concerned, i'm a hoarder and don't like getting rid of anything - hence three sheds and two lock ups full of crap that i'll probably never need or use but just can't bring myself to throw away
tonymk2wagon Posted May 8, 2007 Report Posted May 8, 2007 done it loads, sell a car and get rid of spares, break a car for what you want and ditch the rest. . . wish i had it all back now i'm on a frantic mission to sort the wagon for classic ford and dont have the time to source stuff without paying through the nose for it. . struggled to find a type 9 today after having 3 a few months ago
marky4 Posted May 8, 2007 Report Posted May 8, 2007 well it was my dad he said to me Ive been busy backwards and forwards to the bump i got rid of the car stuff mex wings 6 pot clocks etc so the shed looks tidy now.
ZetecVan 2.0 Posted May 8, 2007 Report Posted May 8, 2007 My mate was helping me clear out my dads garage a couple of years ago and he put a pair of anglia wings on the scrap pile. It was because he's into Minis and wings cost £20. Didn't realise Anglia wings were a bit more expensive.
Wessie Posted May 8, 2007 Report Posted May 8, 2007 Didn't realise Anglia wings were a bit more expensive. just a tad
emu Posted May 8, 2007 Report Posted May 8, 2007 I scrapped a mk3 capri shell that I couldnt give away about 18 months ago. When we rolled it over to get the axle and box out we found that it was totally solid underneath. only bit of rust on it was a scabby drivers rear arch And back about 6 years ago I threw away a 2 door mk 2 escort because I lost interest in it after my donor car got smashed up. Id cut out the passenger inner sill and front floorpan and couldnt be bothered to sort it Hindsight is great isnt it
Twinkle Posted May 8, 2007 Report Posted May 8, 2007 im a hoarder as those who have seen my magic sheds will know

tonymk2wagon Posted May 8, 2007 Report Posted May 8, 2007 dont get started on good shells getting scrapped. i got rid off two 2dr mk 2's a few years ago for pea nuts. . . one had never been welded once carried a mk 1 mex shell down my mates drive with 3 friends, loaded on a trailor and filled with crap all bound for the scrapy. . just needed front floor pans. . . had mint wings and sills. . ah life was easy before the classic ford price boom . . not a care in the world for what we were doing
