Traffic lights, especially on roundabouts. On the three mile drive from my house to the warehouse, the first mile is on the M606. Then there's the second half a mile. There are lights at the bottom of the sliproad onto the roundabout. There's a set of lights on the roundabout itself (one of five sets on this roundabout). There's then some lights a few hundred yards later into a pub/industrial area car park. Then there's some new ones a few hundred yards after that. So that's four sets in about half a mile. And these are all proper lights, not pelican crossings.

 

I think the reason why people seem to go through red lights more than they used to is that they're sick of being held up by the blasted things every twohundred yards.
