Heres a couple more pics (side view etc) of the car when it was originally done. The bumpers have since been removed and the spoiler has been replaced. Theres been a few more modifications done since, but I thought I'd post these for now. What are your thoughts??

Jumpin jehosephats Batman, look what the new car looks like

Just kidding mate, looks good. Bet that roof chop was quite a lot of work, but don't you have headroom issues now? I didn't have much headroom with my standard capri!

That looks awesome mate

Have you actually chopped the roof or have you just added to the rake of the screen ( that sounds as if thats an easy job, sorry) it just looks as though the rear pillars are standard !

Where did you get the rear spoiler and more to the point where did you get rams stong enough to hold it all up !??

Ha! Some interesting questions!

The screen has had 3inches taken off it - a local glass merchant did it after just one attempt - after which I had to radius the corners and finish the rest off (with a band-sander of all things!!).

The roof HAS been chopped, I cut the front pillars, raked them backwards and inwards, the B-posts had 2 inch taken out and the rear quarters had a "v" taken out behind the side windows and also split down the middle. The door frames were cut and re-shaped. The whole idea was to keep the basic Capri shape but it did prove a bit difficult especially with the fact that it had a tailgate, which also had to be split. All this allowed me to chop it without having to quarter the roof.

I understand why it looks like I may have just "raked" the roof, I sometimes look at it and wish I had maybe put a bit more thought into it and tried a bit harder to get round the tailgate/hinge problem.

As for the spoiler - it started out as a very rough turbo-tail copy that I cut up and extended and moulded it all into one piece. (The gas-rams DID prove a bit weak though!).

Here's a pic of it next to my other one, which, incidently, also had the suspension lowered by 2 inches.

I can safely say thats the hardest looking Capri ive ever seen, it looks like the the love child of the Batmobile and the Interceptor off mad max! All it needs is a big blower sticking out :D . Its cool mate i like it, i like it alot. Respect to you for having the guts to do something different 8)

like it? we god damn love it. i and a friend are really thinking of doing this to our capris too.. and youre still gonna be unique cos were in a diferent country. mate, would it be too much to ask for some more details so that instead of trial and error we could know what to do? i mean, its gonna be hard enough to find a place with the tools and knowledge to do it, we could really use the help. also, how much did all this take to make? and how illegal is it?

Not normally a fan of Cappers or roof chops, but that really does look fantastic, didnt notice the chop at first!

Well done
