mk14dr Posted May 26, 2007 Report Posted May 26, 2007 Cheers guys.She's a 1972 Ford Fairlane 500.... me thinks its a '66/'67 http://www.musclecarclub.com/musclecars ... ry-2.shtml Probably imported in '72, Proper nice motor tho' mate
fairlane500 Posted May 26, 2007 Author Report Posted May 26, 2007 Built in South Africa in '72 and imported into this country in '73 from what the previous owner has told me and he was the second owner.I think they were a bit behind the Yank models so it looks like the late sixties's Americans. From what I've read so far it's the same as the Austrailian cars.Could be wrong though. Cheers Sean.

FlashCadillac Posted May 27, 2007 Report Posted May 27, 2007 yeah im well into my yanks and i thought it was a '66

fairlane500 Posted May 27, 2007 Author Report Posted May 27, 2007 yeah im well into my yanks and i thought it was a '66 I know nothing about it mate,I thought it looked more sixteis too but the guy I bought it off has owned it for 20 years and he bought it from the original owner and he says it's a '72. Plus I've found some pics of '72 Australian cars and they are defo the same as mine.So I guess Ford must have shipped out all the run out stock to Oz and SA when the model finished in the States. But if anyone knows different please do let me know. Cheers Sean.
emlou105e Posted May 27, 2007 Report Posted May 27, 2007 Yeah i hope so, picked up some back seats yesterday just cant wait to get it the garage, will you be coming to the pod next month in ya car?
