Noodles Posted May 27, 2007 Report Posted May 27, 2007 Iv just heared from another owners site that road taxing is still to go ahead in 10 cities to start with! WTF! It was in the news on the 22nd or something
Cookie Posted May 27, 2007 Report Posted May 27, 2007 Yip, this is correct m8, and its un-fookin-believable!!!!!!!!!!!! the government voted in by us (not all of us granted) who should be doing what we wish, and even after the millions of objections it has been totally disregarded. and the other clause i read that these cities have been made to have is that all there systems must be interlinable, paving the way for a full on national system, so the second you get in your car, you are being clocked
LEONMEX Posted May 27, 2007 Report Posted May 27, 2007 What a load of s**t. Goverment, dont get me started
Noodles Posted May 27, 2007 Author Report Posted May 27, 2007 How can they do it, it will just cause massive uproar we will go back to 3 day weeks before long or something along those lines
mk2_escort_chick Posted May 27, 2007 Report Posted May 27, 2007 Well I wont be paying it! It does my head in that us motorists are the ones that get victimised and used for extra taxes! Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh!!!
Gonzo Posted May 27, 2007 Report Posted May 27, 2007 Well, as long as there's still people making 'show plates' I'll be refraining from paying. And nobody's getting anywhere NEAR any of my vehicles to wire in a black box! Think of me what you will but I'll quite happily drive around with no insurance, tax, mot or license rather than pay those money-grabbing bastards!!!
Jimsiss Posted May 27, 2007 Report Posted May 27, 2007 surely this is an invasion of privacy? I hate the government, I'd go protest but I can't afford to run my car down to london as the taxes are too high
mk2_escort_chick Posted May 27, 2007 Report Posted May 27, 2007 It really does fook me off! I pay insurance, tax and mot. I'm not having any box put in my car. B@stards!
Jimsiss Posted May 27, 2007 Report Posted May 27, 2007 if anyone came near my car I'd put them in a coma, I have the right to privacy and they are not taking it away from me
arch Posted May 27, 2007 Report Posted May 27, 2007 all they are foooooking after is more money. the wors thing is is tht you have to pay to get the tht box in ther in the first place. it would be the end to alot of car shows/bussinesses/transport companys/etc im not having 1 in my car ther for they can FOOK RYT OFFF! with my middle on saloote. this country will turn into sumit like outta madmax in the minute.
orionmojo Posted May 28, 2007 Report Posted May 28, 2007 i heard it on radio news. the presenter said something like 'the government are pushing ahead with plans for (what ever its called) even though over 2.8 million people have signed a petition against it.' as said, theres not a chance in the world that anyone is getting near any of my cars to wire in a black box.
Cookie Posted May 28, 2007 Report Posted May 28, 2007 dont pay tax fook em !!!! If this happens i am with you there m8, I am a law abiding citizen, and since my legs were long enough to reach the pedals i have had it drummed into me about being legal on the rd, tax mot ins the lot, do not go without it, my folks are straight as an arrow and i'd never hear the end of it when i was younger if i even though about not having correct paperwork, bend the rules a bit now mind you But the one of my main issues is with the fact it is only us law abiding folk who this will make a blind bit of difference to, we are such an easy target because we will pay the fines and we will take the points, because by our very nature we play by the rules of life so to speak. So, if this compulsory black box and charges come in that i will have the priveage to pay to be fitted etc the fook em, i'll drive regardless and do the time when i been banned for the umpteenth time, then do what everyone else who has never played by the rules does, come straight back out and drive again!! This i promise, and i'm sure i'm not alone, so what do you think the government will do then? the jails are overcrowded so there will be nowhere to put us, next logical step for these idiots is then gonna be release all the real crims to make room for us .... think about it
over_head_cam Posted May 28, 2007 Report Posted May 28, 2007 What can we do? They court the idea of petitions, then ignore the results. They tax us on top of tax then tax us for that too. Revolution. it's the only way
ZetecVan 2.0 Posted May 28, 2007 Report Posted May 28, 2007 This country is supposed to be a free country. A democracy. No it's not. We're walking into a dictatorship thanks to this governments greed and what modern technology can do, and no one realises. The story I heard was while the countrywide scheme has had all the votes against it, there are a dozen local governments, including manchester, who want to introduce a local scheme to reduce congestion. Thing is, to reduce congestion and to increase people using public transport they need to IMPROVE public transport. Before it was de-regulated in 1985 our local buses were every 15 mins. Now, they're every hour. When we spent the weekend in London last month we got the train down then used the underground. You know how often they are. The most we were waiting was about 10 mins. Came back to Leeds and we had to wait half an hour for a bus with our luggage in the rain. That's why everyone drives.
Gareth Posted May 28, 2007 Report Posted May 28, 2007 WTF??!!???? This cr@p's actually goin ahead???? I swear if any of those piece of sh!te government pr!cks try to come anywhere near any of my cars with one of those they'll be leaving with it up theire ar$e!!!! I'm not gonna stand for some jumped up little to$$er telling me how much I have to pay, when heprobably pays nothin because he's a politician!!!! Free fookin Country my rosy red ar$e
Jimbob-Squarepants © Posted May 28, 2007 Report Posted May 28, 2007 What have I said before about us living in a dictatorship??? This only proves my point. It seems to me that Blair and his retarded side-kick - Livingstone, don't and never did give a damn as to what us voters wanted. It is looking like they want to pile all this shite upon us before they are voted out... which I hope will happen with superb results. I was told only yesterday that the shite bourough that I live in... Greenwich, will be one of the London bouroughs that will start with this stupid rule. So, I will keep you posted with what happens. It does have to be said though, if someone want's to fit a magic box into Jimbob's motors, Jimbob has already been thinking of ways to get around this, and I may get one fitted to see if these idea's do actually work! On the other hand though, I may just shove the black box up the arse of the person wishing to fit it... depends on my mood, but I am sure it will be the latter. Unfortunatley for us, Blair is getting off on this environmental trip, and it looks like the man wants to go down in the history books for being the Prime Minister responsible. It is a fact that over some years, the earth warms up and cools down, how does he think he will change what nature is already changing??? Granted, we have sped up this effect, but the people who really do care are already doing their bit. There have been recycling fascilities in place for years, we have had new boilers fitted to our homes, drive modern motors which use unleaded fuel etc. (Not me mind). I have not long since realised that us within London have already been f***** over. How??? LRP. It looks like other parts of this country can still get LRP, but I have struggled to find a station within London that still sells it. The trouble is, no-one will stand up for anything anymore. Look at this weekend, how many of you have noticed that the fuel has gone up yet again... 99.9p a litre in some places. WHY???? well, it's Bank Holiday isn't it. They know alot of people will be going away, so they know you will need fuel, so, they put it up and hope no-one notices. And to add to that, the government say they have no f****** money! Yeah right, all they are interested in is looking after themselves and their families, they don't give a monkeys chuff about us little people who voted them in. Will it get better??? I can't really see it. The trouble is, if anyone else gets voted in, they may just keep everything in place because they know that we WILL cough up. Although, I have made a recent observation. Conservative bouroughs have better roads with alot less traffic calming measures that Labour and Lib Dem bouroughs. So, perhaps the answer lies there... or we could all rebel!!!! I wish we f****** would, I really do!!!
Mr.Sumo Posted May 28, 2007 Report Posted May 28, 2007 JimBob ,i knew you wouldn"t let me down.... i"ll just post and paste your reply...saves me having to repeat exactly what you have just said JIMBOB FOR PRESIDENT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LEONMEX Posted May 28, 2007 Report Posted May 28, 2007 Fookin government, few years ago i got knocked off my m/bike on a r/bout. Broke my collar bone in 3 places broke my ribs & ended up in hospital for a few days as i had head injuries. Smashed my £400 lid & £800 leathers to bits & fooked my bike, the bloke that was drivig had no insurance/tax/mot & was an illegal immigrant. No one gave of fook & the bloke was never seen again.Wheres the justice for british working class in that?? I pay my taxes & work my arse off to support my family & keep a roof over our heads,& all the goverment do is TAKE TAKE TAKE. As phil said "revolution is the only way" Rant over.
GT_Jim Posted May 28, 2007 Report Posted May 28, 2007 where will they go next? start taxing push bikes
ZetecVan 2.0 Posted May 28, 2007 Report Posted May 28, 2007 As phil said "revolution is the only way" I've often thought about setting up a website to get people together to force a revolution, but I'd probably get arrested on anti-terrorist charges.

It will happen one day,the country is fooked & im sure soon or later the true british people will stand up for there country.

It is a fact that over some years, the earth warms up and cools down, how does he think he will change what nature is already changing??? I urge everyone to watch 'The Great Global Warming Swindle' if you missed it when it was on TV the other week: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid ... 2478442170
Osgood Isgood Posted May 28, 2007 Report Posted May 28, 2007 What the fook is fuel duty if it isn't "road pricing" anyway.....??? As motorists we pay £40billion a year to the 'kin treasury, but still they want to tax us more! And what happened to democracy? Two million signed the petition against road pricing on the governements own web-site but they simply ignore us!...BATARDS!! The trouble is they have us by the short n curlies, we have no choice but to drive if we want to get anywhere so they know they can keep levying taxes on driving and we will have to pay it! I love Britian, but I honestly can't blame anyone for wanting to get out (I would if I could). I work my nuts off, up to 60 or 70 hours a week running my business but I sometimes think I should just jack it in, move into a run down council house and watch Trisha whilst drinking special brew all day, I think the government would support me more if I did!
