Bu despite its greatness i would steer clear of anything around the 2k price range. Thats bottom of the barrel stuff and i can tell you first hand that they're fooking expensive when they go wrong. I would reccomend a 2001 Y Vectra 2.6 V6 SRi Estate, in black, with leather and CD player, 170BHP and all the toys. You can get one of them for £2250ono with 12 months MOT and 2 months tax. ....not that i'm selling one or anything.

A small, lightweight, front engined, RWD 2 seater convertible sounds like the perfect recipe for summer fun to me
