If you'd been asking about a mk1 there'd be no doubt in my mind that the round look better. I don't think it's so clear cut with a mk2 though as the angular lines actually lend themselves quite well to square lights

on your car mate square looks best in my opinion, it just goes so well with the vinylroof / chrome sidetrims / 4 doors etc. if you changed all that it might be a different matter, but hey it's a ghia not a mexico, (thats not a bad thing) street sleeper look is a good thing!

P S the headlights out of mk2 transits are the same, got a few pairs if you get stuck trying to find some let me know
