She Live's!!!!

Finally bite the bullet and bought one of those fangled H&H High Torque Starter Motors and Fitted it Saturday afternoon.

OH MY GOD (In a Janice from Friends voice)

What a difference!!! I worked my way through four standard Inertia type starter motors over the last couple of years

This thing turned over the engine and fired it into life ON THE BUTTON after sitting in the garage dead for three weeks!!!

It was not a straight forward fit tho, for a normal 4 speed bellhousing it would have probably been fine, but coz mine is the hydrollic 2000E box, it was fouling either the bell housing or the steering rack whichever whay you tried it, so had to remove the bellhousing plate, re drill some new holes after much measuring and re checking and BINGO slotted straight in!!

Moment of truth.....turn ignition on, couple of pumps on the go pedal....wince and turn...... VVeeeRRRROOOOOMMMMMM :twisted::twisted::twisted::twisted:

No mate, got mine from H & H Ignition, its the nuts, give them a call on 01384 261 500 ask for Phil or Lee, tell them you spoke to me from OSF and he'll look after you

what difference do they make e.g more powerful or wat

I dont know the exact science behind it, but it dont half start my Xflo millions times better that that old TOOT Inertia jobbie,
