The last Sandal wearing warriors I know of were probably the Romans, and they kicked arse all over Europe! and where are they now? the empire lasted well didnt it would of thought out of the two the most likely to wear sandals is an emo So I'm an Emo Oh and BTW the Roman Empire lasted for around 500 years, though if you include the Roman Republic that preceded it, the figure is nearer 1000 years, pretty good going for some sandal wearing wops eh?

I thought the last sandal wearing eco-warrior was Swampy. The man that made the last stand against the Newbury Bypass I was hoping they were going to fill his tunnels in with him still in them. I used to have to drive through Newbury every Friday to get home for the weekend, before they built that bypass it was a nightmare, the locals must have hated it!

Copey Posted June 23, 2007 Report Posted June 23, 2007 think its fairly safe to say i am neither...i HATE all these stupid tossers in ther little hatchbacks that look like they have been driven through a branch of halfords and had every scrap of fake carbon fiber and fiberglass glued to them, plus all the shitty dance music they listen too, and wen they drive past all u hear is a bass beat but i also hate emo music, greenday and all that rubbish, gimme some real rock!! Thin Lizzy, Led Zeppelin, Boston, Grand Funk Railroad nice bit o metal would go down well too, some Iron Maiden maybe, or Judas Priest i think its fairly safe to say i would fit into the "rocker" slot

Swampy's antics were parodied in a Judge Dredd comic featuring "Spawny" who impeded the construction of a "Spaceport" in the same manner as the real-life ecowarrior. The story ends with the construction continuing unimpeded, with Spawny apparently being sealed alive under the concrete foundation.
