Deano1351 Posted June 23, 2007 Author Report Posted June 23, 2007 Iv just looked on they're site, i never realised mk1 and 2 were different, looks like i need metric ones for mine then i thought they were unf.
flyingbanana Posted June 23, 2007 Report Posted June 23, 2007 Threads available : Metric M12x1.5 (e.g. Later Ford - Mk2 Escort, Mk3/4/5 Cortina etc), M12x1.25 (e.g. for Subaru, Peugeot and many Japanese vehicles), M14x1.5 (e.g. for VW / Audi) or imperial threads 3/8" unf (e.g. BL Mini), 7/16" unf (e.g. Early Fords Mk1 Escort / Mk1 + 2 Cortina etc), or 1/2" unf (e.g. American FORD, AMC, CHRYSLER, LINCOLN, JAGUAR, SCHIMITAR, MGB and many VOLVOs, 9/16" unf (some American pick-ups etc) http://www.speedshack.co.uk/Wheelnuts.htm
Admin Vista Posted June 23, 2007 Admin Report Posted June 23, 2007 Mk1's are 7/16" UNF, Mk2's are M12. Do revolution wheels need taper or washer type nuts?
Deano1351 Posted June 23, 2007 Author Report Posted June 23, 2007 Mk1's are 7/16" UNF, Mk2's are M12. Do revolution wheels need taper or washer type nuts? From what iv seen i think they're just sleeved, no taper to them!
Deano1351 Posted June 23, 2007 Author Report Posted June 23, 2007 Ok nice one chaps, any idea of prices, the flea-bay ones all in are about 36 squid, the speed shack prices were a bit vague
bomber1 Posted June 24, 2007 Report Posted June 24, 2007 i would get them from speed shack even if they are a bit more expensive. at least u got some come back on them and they know what u need
Cookie Posted June 24, 2007 Report Posted June 24, 2007 i would get them from speed shack even if they are a bit more expensive. at least u got some come back on them and they know what u need Yea and as wheel nuts are a pretty essential item you need someone who knows whats what, or at least someone to take a bat to when they fall off at 70 mph!
Deano1351 Posted June 24, 2007 Author Report Posted June 24, 2007 ok cheers chaps, have a look on rally designs web site, they've got loads of wheel nuts on there but there not specific, they start from about a pound so i just didnt want to get expensive ones if i can get them cheaper elsewhere www.rallydesign.co.uk
bomber1 Posted June 24, 2007 Report Posted June 24, 2007 dont think speedshack are any more expensive tbh. ring them tomorrow. good bunch off guys
