spooner Posted June 29, 2007 Report Posted June 29, 2007 I Personaly think......... In this case the plastic is fooking AWESOME ! Do you really want to be like everyone else ? Cars like that are trend setters, think about when classic fords were in fast car ? DO IT !!!!!!!!! when it's all one piece it will flow nicely, i think it's one of the most origional and innovitive styles i've ever seen. Nice one Jarrod but is it old skool
john_3.0s Posted June 29, 2007 Report Posted June 29, 2007 its a sin im sorry uderneith all that kit is a very very good body, i could rip the kit off and have it back on the road in 4 to 6 weekends I think you have answered your own question here - dont break it up would be a real shame. Colonge arched mk cappers are the best looking of all the OSFs (IMHO). Sounds like it has a decent spec too with that motor. If you wanna keep the kit then keep it, its your car afterall -ersonally id pull it off. Although its your car these cars are getting rare now days so if you want your kids to be able to apreciate the sights and sounds of a propper capri i'd keep it and put it back the way god intended it to be
Jarrodm Posted June 29, 2007 Report Posted June 29, 2007 "But it it old skool ?" It's a capper ! It's always gonna' be old skool !!!!!!!!!! I quite like the look of it and how it flows, it's nice to see something with an engine to match the plastic. Jarrod
Stu_B Posted June 29, 2007 Report Posted June 29, 2007 Loose the bumpers, lose the middle scoop & you have yourself one bad ass car!!!
lee_capri Posted June 29, 2007 Author Report Posted June 29, 2007 mixed emotions on this belive it or not i would love a standed mk1 which this was once its amageing how things change but saying that i saw the white&blue mk1 at classic ford and that was the dogs kanners wish i had one like that but who nos my speeling is up the creek bit like my car thank you for your views so far,but keeping the bumpers is winning the poll at the moment which i have found strange
Guest cortinamad-gonetoo Posted June 29, 2007 Report Posted June 29, 2007 the bumpers should go put a proper capri body kit on or just back to standard
lee_capri Posted June 29, 2007 Author Report Posted June 29, 2007 would you like to see what is lirking underneith its very sinful to get it back to standed is a lot of work as its got mk3 axle and hand-brake and 3.0mk1 axles are quite rare i think
lee_capri Posted June 29, 2007 Author Report Posted June 29, 2007 as i said this is what it looked like the day i brought it said it was a sin think i still have all the crome bits dont no what happened to the headlights they were f**ked any-way im so not worthy i said theys a very good body under their
Arched Escy Posted June 29, 2007 Report Posted June 29, 2007 Take the kit off...you could get good money for it...Front bumper looks OK but dear God the rear is baaaaad. Strip the car and rebuild it bit by bit.
FlashCadillac Posted June 29, 2007 Report Posted June 29, 2007 personally i could never do that to a mk1 capri i always take the piss out of all the plastic sh*t driving around saying "but its still a corsa" yours is still a capri and as much as i couldnt do it..... get it finished. Its still old skool. it may not be to everyones taste but dare to be different part of me thinks it will look quite good when its done my mk1 looks like anyone elses.... with a bit more rust... yours is going to be totaly custom
Jelly Posted June 29, 2007 Report Posted June 29, 2007 That car was absolutely beautiful, and now? Looks like you've covered it in superglue and driven through Halfords..
