v6pop Posted July 16, 2007 Report Posted July 16, 2007 Dont let him string you along...you dont want his"mates"repairing your car on the cheap!!You tell him that your not happy with the situation and want it repaired by an independent repairer to a high standard. You owe this guy nothing......he's f~cked up and now has to pay the price, you better get in there before he gets the sack and they deny he even worked there!! Had simular happen to me so have a hard line on this subject.
andy a Posted July 16, 2007 Report Posted July 16, 2007 Do it all properly through the insurance, I was recently hit by a tinker lol in his bosses van and agreed to let them sort it through the bodyshop where they work (alledged award winning bodyshop) and the work was crap to say the least, the bloke who owned the van was a smarmy git who backed out of everything he had agreed and now naturally I'm left with the job of getting it sorted properly as my insurance wont sort it as the repair was done privately (I can see their point of view on this one). Next time someone hits one of my cars it will all be done by the book no matter what, no chances, no excuses no nothing, luckily it was only the wifes V****a that got hit but I'm still going to be left about £800 out of pocket sorting it, no chance of reclaiming the cash either as they can just deny any knowledge of the accident That said I can deny any knowledge when I find his address and back my transporter down the side of his car, what goes around comes around
Richierich Posted July 16, 2007 Report Posted July 16, 2007 damn, feel for you mate! As said do it by the book! Don't let him fook you around! good luck with gettin it sorted!
surfingturnip Posted July 17, 2007 Report Posted July 17, 2007 what a knob!, who gives a fook if he recons £500 is a bit 'steep'. ask him if he'd rather pay that or loose his job! If he back chats just give him a slap, cheekey barstool!
Twinkle Posted July 19, 2007 Report Posted July 19, 2007 bastard, gutted for you m8 call his boss let them sort it out
