B&Q Gloss Paint as near ford oval blue as I could get.

love that colour ! have you had the engine running since you painted it? has it peeled off or baked?

I used Blue engine enamel.. Got it from the local motor factors.
 no problems with it coming off? did you spray or paint it on ? :?

It was painted on. It's pretty much baked on so it's not going anywhere...

Normal 2 pack is good too.

In fact most paints are fine. The important thing is to get the engine 101% grease and oil free. Then it will stick like $hit to a stick.

Preparation is everything !!

I am also painting my engine on saturday, but the engine is complete ready to go in so i need to take a few bits and pieces off (mounts etc) to clean it up a bit first,

i am unsure what color/s to paint it though and what paint, plus i was hoping to put the engine in saturday also so a paint that doesnt take days to dry would be nice. anyone got any ideas?

also my janspeed 4branch manifold is looking a bit rusty these days, can that be painted?

thanks
