Miller Posted August 9, 2007 Report Posted August 9, 2007 recomend norwich union May be switching to Adrian Flux tho, sometimes Indian Call centres are *too much* hard work. Footman James has been recomended to me too several times.

beedz Posted August 9, 2007 Report Posted August 9, 2007 might be different in your situation (big engine & a little younger) but the classic car insurance through the AA did well with me.
DeanMk1Capri Posted August 9, 2007 Report Posted August 9, 2007 I pay £270 with Footman James with an agreed value for my 3.0 Mk1 Capri thats for 2 drivers fully comp - very good company www.footmanjames.co.uk Tel: 08454-586790
Jimbob-Squarepants © Posted August 9, 2007 Report Posted August 9, 2007 Not sure about your age mate, but I am with Footman James and I have the Anglia & Capri on the same policy. Both agree'd values, fully comp with breakdown and windscreen cover. I pay £361 a year Can't fault the service either

mk3cokebottle Posted August 9, 2007 Report Posted August 9, 2007 mate your under 25, it twas exactly the same for me wiv my mk1 3.0 coupe , the cheapest i could get was £2300 thats why im waiting till next year to build my new toy unfortunatley theres no classic insurance till ya 25 either i know it sucks nut hey ho. there was an insurance company who used to sponser the sight with a % off i beleive think it twas a.flux but dont hold me to that pm posse he could probably help?
Miller Posted August 9, 2007 Report Posted August 9, 2007 unfortunatley theres no classic insurance till ya 25 either i know it sucks nut hey ho. Im sure you can get classic insurance when your under 25. Ive been quoted £400 for a hot 1600 crossflow (vulcan head) mk2 Escort Sport by Adrian Flux on a classic policy, I think by limiting miles to under 5,000 and keeping it on a drive qualified me for classic. That was with 3 points and 1 claim 2 years ago. My mate is 21 and he's got a 2 litre Rs2000 Replica insured with Footman for about £400 as well, although he has been with them registered on that car for 3 years before he dropped the 2.0 in and has built a no claims. Just phone and play them off against each other, ive been pleasantly suprised by how far down they will come with just a few calls. Not looking forward to insuring the Estate when i've dropped a pinto in it though
escortmad79 Posted August 10, 2007 Report Posted August 10, 2007 Adrian Flux for modded estates Miller, mine is £136 per year to insure fully comp as standard, if I was to say... bung a Cossie lump in & uprate the brakes & suspension it'll still only by £450 at the most fully comp Bearing in mind I'm 28 years old
