GJUK Posted August 30, 2007 Report Posted August 30, 2007 Alright all, So I bought a "on the road" mk1 escort about 3 months ago. I've had some fun, not hit anything and im still alive which is good. I've found bits that need doing, front wings, strut tops and front panel etc. But the question is, when do you start doing this work? Whens everyone taking their rides off the road for t'winter? Love Jon

texr2000 Posted September 1, 2007 Report Posted September 1, 2007 Depends really how much you go to do... weather can be good in Oct for a nice drive on a weekend. I like to get the car back on the road for April/May time as the weather is NORMALLY improving by then… Problem is, it is so much easier to work on the car in the summer…longer evening warm, dry (well)… I can get more work done to the car on a summer weekend than sometimes evenings in the week and the weekend in the winter. Also I have less motivation to leave the nice warm house to go into a cold dark garage… lol But I know it will be no different this year...cold nights in the garage
