yodi Posted September 13, 2007 Report Posted September 13, 2007 hang on ill swop back to the black skin and try again now to donate....
yodi Posted September 13, 2007 Report Posted September 13, 2007 ok no errors now and all paid BUT: When I'm on the black screen I can see the subscribe link and purchases link but on silver I cant, also on the black page I can see when I subscribed how long Ive got left and on Silver I cant. Seems like the silver background is just a colour change but also changes some sort of settings not allowing the adverts and certain links through.
yodi Posted September 13, 2007 Report Posted September 13, 2007 And this is what I see on Silver, advertless unlike the black screen which is full of em
over_head_cam Posted September 13, 2007 Report Posted September 13, 2007 The silver skin is the basic set up for the forum template. The official OSF colour scheme is black so most tend to use it The adverts are there to promote our sponsors who help us to keep the site going too, but we would have to do everything in double to put them on the other colour scheme too. But as the majority of members use the black skin, they will be viewable by the majority. As to whether you'd be able to advertise your services in your sig if you were a contributor? Not sure
kevmk2 Posted September 13, 2007 Report Posted September 13, 2007 I paid last week, finally had a spare bit of money after being out of work for ages
yodi Posted September 13, 2007 Report Posted September 13, 2007 I cant use the black screen, I wear glasses as it is and the screen just does my eyes in so sticking to the silver more human one. Also this is my sig I use on other forums, if someone could tell me if its ok that would be great.
over_head_cam Posted September 13, 2007 Report Posted September 13, 2007 Nice one Kev. All contributions are always appreciated
kevmk2 Posted September 13, 2007 Report Posted September 13, 2007 No probs mate, always like to try and do my bit to help out
yodi Posted September 13, 2007 Report Posted September 13, 2007 I contributed just now too.. maybe you should at least get the link for subscribing sorted in the silver skin as i'd have never known it was available.
ZetecVan 2.0 Posted September 13, 2007 Report Posted September 13, 2007 ok no errors now and all paid BUT: When I'm on the black screen I can see the subscribe link and purchases link but on silver I cant, also on the black page I can see when I subscribed how long Ive got left and on Silver I cant. Seems like the silver background is just a colour change but also changes some sort of settings not allowing the adverts and certain links through. I'll sort the silver template out sometime with the subs and transactions. When we make mods to the site, we have to change every template so it's a question of finding the time, which is probably why it wasn't done.
kevmk2 Posted September 13, 2007 Report Posted September 13, 2007 I contributed just now too.. maybe you should at least get the link for subscribing sorted in the silver skin as i'd have never known it was available.
