The Lotus of Terry Ross, had an engine built by me Dad (Ron Harris).

Do you remember a red mk1 zephyr, chrome jag back axle, v8, hulk under the bonnet, called quick tempered, that was me..!!.:lol::lol:

There was also a silver 105 e van with murals, sat high, light shining on the road when it drove along, it was called silver temptation, a friend of mine called Terry Baker..

Jeff Harris..

Was you one of the original Z Gang?

Of course I was, 8) There was me, me Dad, Andy, & Martin, me other brother.

I havent seen a pic of the "HULK" for years, funny thing I was talking about Mk1s with Nick Arlett the other day and the Hulk was mentioned as well as another lost Zephyr, Steve Corbets Mk2, but Nick knows where that is, Nicks Mk1 is back on the IOW now painted chrome yellow, My Mk1 that I bought off Andy 27 years ago as a stocker which I fitted with a 289 TJ fuel injection with cleveland heads and a Tiger 4 speed, It was broken up for the Number plate, engine and box, the shell sat in a garden for about 5 years before it was sold on to reappear with a 302 in it and now painted bus red

I am sure Ive seen it somewhere this year, may have been at Bromley, the last owner I know had it was Maurice Takoor, I know he had it for sale about 2 years ago, he would be a good person to ask, You say IOW, Something says Jersey, dont know why. I will ask

Ian

Anyway, how is Charlie getting on with the Falcon Gladys lookalike, whatever happend to Gladys, the ORANGE 56 ford on hydraulics??

Just got a reply from Maurice, after asking "Where is it now"

Still where it's always been!!! Sunning itself in its retirement home in Jersey! Has just been undergoing a rebuild & overhaul & will be back on the road (& I use the term precisely - well there aren't that many over there, are there?) soon. Glad to say, he's keeping it the same colours as well. Can't wait to see it, wish I'd never sold it (how many times have you said that?).

By the way I sold it years ago, probably 10!

Seeing as i am alot younger than most of the original chelsea boys

I dont remember half of the cars you are talking about,my first time up chelsea was in my first mk2 escort, olympic blue 2 door with black vinyl roof and 16 x flow  thats must of been 1994-95. I remember Big Jon's Yellow mk2 with HT pinto in it,Mark Daleys primered mk2 which was painted turqoise soon after. I remember Waynes car with the noisy exhaust you could hear from a mile away  and Daryls terracotta mk2 doing donuts. I also remember Ian's (iceman's) cortina with 154db sound system, the bass used to go right through you when he played the bass mechanik cd :lol:

I also remember a white mk2 with hooge HT Racing on the front screen with a half cast fella driving it,dunno who that was?

I also remember being on the 6'o clock news in my red mk2 going sideways on the roundabout  ive still got it on video tape somewhere :ykt:

About the same time i started going Kev,

There were a few of us in mk2s then,

Mine was white, orange revo's with a large orange HT racing screen sticker

The white mk2 with the massive ht sticker was a guy from north london, had 3 door cossy wheels.

I'd be up for a few meets next year

Its a small world nick,a freind of mine had ricky's white mk2 in the early 90s.

It was a 1300 auto,he put 1600 manual in it and white revos.

Ricky brought it dropped a hot pinto and straight cut in it.(only thing HT racing was the window sticker!!)

We also went up to north london to buy it back, but the engine was sick at the time.

This was about 1995ish.

Nice guy,must of been 6 foot 5 !!

Wasn't Ian Iceman one of the first cars in the UK to hit over 150dB?

It was featured in Max Power waaaaaaaay back when they featured decent cars back in around 1994!

Yes i believe it was,he still has the car sat on his driveway

No sounds in it though,he just cant part with it. My mate had a system done by him with 4x15" subs in a mondeo,it was fooking loud
