flyingbanana Posted October 4, 2007 Author Report Posted October 4, 2007 lol sam ... ive been spraying by compressor and gun with a home built frame around the car
Noodles Posted October 4, 2007 Report Posted October 4, 2007 I would have told him to shove it up his arse
flyingbanana Posted October 4, 2007 Author Report Posted October 4, 2007 I would have told him to shove it up his arse so would i...but its not my place......my friend has let me do my car on there driveway......prob is my mate is also doing a restro on a bug ...so there is some extra noise when he uses the angle grinder....but ffs its in the day time
john_3.0s Posted October 4, 2007 Report Posted October 4, 2007 you got a straght through exhaust on your compressor or summin? my mate had a similar proble so put his compressor in the cupboard undet the stairs in his house and bought some LONG air line
Rick Posted October 4, 2007 Report Posted October 4, 2007 thats shit! its alright for the council to start digging up your road at 7 in the morning though
mossy Posted October 5, 2007 Report Posted October 5, 2007 thought it was only certain times...like early in the morning and late at night.... they should be at work anyway during the day! luckily my neighbours are quite understanding...ive always got my compressor/grinder/drill going
Nettles Posted October 6, 2007 Report Posted October 6, 2007 Might be worth looking into this because it sounds like a load of bollox to me. If you were working during the day I didn’t think anything could be done about noise levels. Probably could have told the council bod to fook off and carried on spraying.
fordtina3 Posted October 6, 2007 Report Posted October 6, 2007 perhaps it may have been about the actual paint you were spraying. needless to say that unless it was a lead based paint, there is nothing they can do about water based paint. i was told i was running a taxi business from my house because i parked 2 taxis outside my house, even though they knew i had an office as i was paying the rates for it. they are all a jobsworth and they have to be seen to do something else they couldnt stay in their easy-life jobs any longer. tell em to fook orf
Admin Vista Posted October 6, 2007 Admin Report Posted October 6, 2007 Whilst I sympathise with FB, having had a problem with noisy neighbours in the past (and I'm not saying you are such a neighbour) it can be very waring, and often people are reluctant to just ask politely themselves for fear of recriminations. Often people that are real neighbours from hell sadly would ignore any direct request to keep the noise down a little, and then think nothing of trying to exact some revenge on the people that had complained about them, which is why many people prefer to do it anonymously.
flyingbanana Posted October 6, 2007 Author Report Posted October 6, 2007 ive spoken to a mate and he knows some one who has just had a spray booth built in his garage ...................bit late now but i might be able to finish the last few bits off in the spray booth
