sambo Posted October 16, 2007 Report Posted October 16, 2007 Yeah, nowt wrong with arches and 16's. my 16's run a modern offset too (against all my principles and religion) but i still love them! Oh, and i would give my left knacker for a 3.0 csl batmobile.
H.P.E harry Posted October 16, 2007 Report Posted October 16, 2007 who says arches and 16's dont look good ... If its got wheels and an engine mod it ... [/img] Thats looks fat, was thinking of going that way.
Copey Posted October 16, 2007 Report Posted October 16, 2007 who says arches and 16's dont look good ... If its got wheels and an engine mod it ... [/img] lookin very cool!!
Admin Vista Posted October 16, 2007 Admin Report Posted October 16, 2007 Oh, and i would give my left knacker for a 3.0 csl batmobile. I agree! I'd give Sambos left knacker for a 3 litre CSL Batmobile too
Johnson Posted October 16, 2007 Report Posted October 16, 2007 who says arches and 16's dont look good ... If its got wheels and an engine mod it ... [/img] lookin very cool!! That looks awesome you have to love mocking stuff up and standing back to admire
Guest MK1gaz Posted October 16, 2007 Report Posted October 16, 2007 who says arches and 16's dont look good ... It looks alright when low like that but the chassis rails would be hitting the floor . Raise it up and it will look shite
Retromotorsport Posted October 16, 2007 Report Posted October 16, 2007 Gaz... just to prove you wrong ... the pictures 3 and 4 are 50mm clearence under the lowest part of the car... How much have you got under your car ???? and include the exhaust in that too ..
Retromotorsport Posted October 16, 2007 Report Posted October 16, 2007 From further away ... 50mm under lowest part of car and 100mm under the lowest part of the car ...
Guest MK1gaz Posted October 16, 2007 Report Posted October 16, 2007 Can you get street tyres with that width and profile then or are you going too need the £500 each tyres from a Lamborgini !!!!!!!!
Retromotorsport Posted October 16, 2007 Report Posted October 16, 2007 Can you get street tyres with that width and profile then or are you going too need the £500 each tyres from a Lamborgini !!!!!!!! in 15" ... 245/40R15 85V £128.00 AVON CR500's 16's 225/45R16 89W £162.00 AVON ZZR's Dunlop ... 225/45ZR16 SP SPORT 9000 MFS TL 1 and thats just from the road legal competition list on BMTR's site ... Next question ....
Guest MK1gaz Posted October 16, 2007 Report Posted October 16, 2007 they look about 10 inches wide in the pic though Might need wider tyres for those
Retromotorsport Posted October 16, 2007 Report Posted October 16, 2007 but you always use a smaller width tyre to stop sidewall flex.. hence the 175 /50/13's on 7" rims ... 10" minus 1" =9" ..which is 228mm .. Next question .. oh and measure you 175's Gaz.. as they normally on have 150-165 on the road, the est is on the sidewall .. competition tyres only measure whats on the road , not whats up the sidewall ..
Guest MK1gaz Posted October 16, 2007 Report Posted October 16, 2007 you can't use competition tyres on the road so he'll have to use proper road tyres . I had 10x15's on my old motor and you'll never get tyres that fit and look as good as those racing tyres in the pic . It will look like a dragster
sambo Posted October 16, 2007 Report Posted October 16, 2007 Oh, and i would give my left knacker for a 3.0 csl batmobile. I agree! I'd give Sambos left knacker for a 3 litre CSL Batmobile too Thats fine by me vista, as long as you let me have a go!
