Sold my mex to darran,saw the roof in the classic ford feature a few months later. Not got an escort yet,try to find a new location,lost the place i was keeping it,hence being sold. Wrote my capri off 3 years ago reduced to driving a volvo 850 and a BMW 730 If Dees start paying me more I'd have a mex like yours with a pinto.

The zakspeed cars are awesome and you simply cannot compare it to a fast road escort with a pinto in it etc. Two completely different cars, for 2 completely different reasons. As a race car, it is amazing and i would give my left knacker to own it, whilst a std arched, fast road escort, well we have seen it all before havent we with all due respect. I just dont see how you can compare it to a barry boy chav mobile!!! You should all be sent to bed with no supper. soooo wrong. Everything on that car is there for a purpose. Grr.

Would you do a 1000kms against BMW 3.0L CSL Batmobiles with a Mk2 Mexico or Rs2000.. Both will do the job, but you would finish behind the guy with the Nail Gun and the Zakspeed As for using the car on the Public roads... ahem, Le-Mans, Nurburgring and the Avusrennen are all public roads ............. The hairpin at Avus would cook most cars brakes after 1/4 of an hour, let alone an hours racing.. Flat out down to 30-40mph ... that means scrubbing off 140mph in seconds ... 2.8i discs and Princess 4 pots just aint gonna do it .. Personally I would love to see Ford Europe get some balls and take on Audi and Mercedes in the DTM... it is the Pinnacle of Motorsport today, with more advances and technology than F1. And something which is really sad is the fact most Brits dont know who Jamie Green, Gary Paffett (CH '05), Susie Stoddart and Paul di Resta are ... 4 very fast British Drivers winning in a brillient championship which is in essence the Group 5/6 cars of today .. Just Imagine a spaceframed Mondeo with a an F1 V8 in it, wide arched, full aero package beating the Germans on home ground..... it would be good, wouldnt it?
