Yes foxy roxy is up for sale and i put her on loot and freeads etc.

Just went to my junk mail folder and noticed this e-mail:

Hi,

I'd like to confirm the final price you'd be willing to sell this Car you placed for sale on loot and let me know the condition as well.

If it's okay by me, i will like to bring to your notice that my method of payment is by a bank transfer into any of the following banks:-

(Natwest, Nationwide bank, Halifax bank and Abbey National Bank).

Let me know if you have an account in any of the above mentioned banks...Please reply with the final price and the conditions also,

so that we can proceed from there asap. Thank You!

Regards,

Kevin

What do you lot think, because I dont trust it!

I could be wrong, but want everyone else's opinion

Bank transfers can be made to any bank, they don't have to be specific. Sounds dodgy, the bloke's name is Kevin yet his grammar and sentence structure (If it's is ok by me) make him sound like a foreign scammer. Ask for a landline number ;)

Hi. This sounds a bit iffy to me. I assume the selling price is not massive so whats wrong with cash on collection? Suggest to the guy bring me real money it don't bounce, And check for dodgy fifties.

If you get a dodgy cheque paid into your account your balance will go up for just long enough to make you think you have been paid. Tell him you don't have a bank account and can only do a cash deal. I don't think you will be contacted again. Looks like a scammer to me.

SCAM SCAM SCAM tell him to fook off

Seconded, I deal a fair bit in cars and would NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER do any sort of transaction like this, cash is the only way to sell a secondhand car, if it really comes to it, take a cheque and state collection after a 3 week period for it to clear, i'm 100% sure as soon as you say no to his offer you will not hear from him again.

CASH IS THE WAY FOWARD, oh and when counting it make sure you run your finger over the raised bit to make sure it's real, have seen some brilliant fakes over the years but they have never been able to do the raised bit
