steve dray Posted October 22, 2007 Report Posted October 22, 2007 These things are getting pricey http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... :IT&ih=010
LEONMEX Posted October 22, 2007 Report Posted October 22, 2007 Thats just stupid,still pick them up for £120ish from g.s.escorts & escort-tec
Guest MK1gaz Posted October 22, 2007 Report Posted October 22, 2007 the one in the advert is new and not an old one from the 1970's hence the price
davreeve Posted October 22, 2007 Report Posted October 22, 2007 Does it have the rest of the car still attached to it?
ZetecVan 2.0 Posted October 22, 2007 Report Posted October 22, 2007 I've a 4.4 in my garage. Got slightly more than 50 miles on though. There is was set of new unused lotus steels (with surface rust) on which I think ended yesterday or today. They were up at £400.
Cookie Posted October 22, 2007 Report Posted October 22, 2007 A lot of the stuff that sells at silly money ends up back on there a few weeks later again strange that, usually with the buyer did'nt pay etc, I then wonder why they have not left bad feedback and on occasions even good, must be the old mate bids up trick
Toby Posted October 22, 2007 Report Posted October 22, 2007 Yep crazy - you can get a brand new CWP from burton for £250, which means you could buy bearings and get someone to build it up for less than £450 got to be a scam. Edited Typo!
kris Posted October 23, 2007 Report Posted October 23, 2007 Maybe a scam bid, but the buyer account was created in 2004, and has been active regularly enough over that time. I reckon he needs the time to save up between 'big' spendups

Muttley MK2 Posted October 23, 2007 Report Posted October 23, 2007 Ebay is a whole different world to the REAL world of those who know about and love to fix old cars. there are so many twats on ebay getting fired up and bidding stupid money. As the previous posts say do these items actually sell? I doubt it
