petrolhead Posted October 28, 2007 Report Posted October 28, 2007 with only 150miles but I did manage to get 141bhp and 129lbft of torque at Track 'n' Road on my Vulcan built 1700cc crossflow. I'm only using 34mm chokes on twin 45's for the initial 500mile running-in period so hopefully there is more to come with bigger chokes. Thanks to the two Steves@TnR for their setup time and Steve@Vulcan for building me a mega engine My claim to fame is to have the first megajolt (in TnR terms- megash1t) system that thy have seen working and they have had alot booked in. I'm hoping to crack the magic 150bhp mark in a couple of months time, we will see!! http://s163.photobucket.com/albums/t308/petrolheadmatt/?action=view¤t=dynorun.flv

Tom Posted October 28, 2007 Report Posted October 28, 2007 Spot on mate glad you got the MJ sorted. I keep hearing you tearing around here in the evenings - sounds real throaty
petrolhead Posted October 28, 2007 Author Report Posted October 28, 2007 sure, it is just another crossflow on carbs tbh. Funny you should mention the noise Tom, it caused quite an argument at the local garage as to whether it should fail on noise, one mechanic was very pro-Old skool the other was a MOT manual basher. They had to ring up the Ministry to sort it out! result was you have to compare like for like engine-wise, so it passed.
Toby Posted October 28, 2007 Report Posted October 28, 2007 Thanks! Looks Goooooood! Just another........can you have too much?
Toby Posted October 28, 2007 Report Posted October 28, 2007 Well spotted Wayne. That wouldn't do it any favours.
petrolhead Posted October 28, 2007 Author Report Posted October 28, 2007 lol, they are there, they are just very short ones because of the limited clearance inside the K&N's. Photo was taken near the end of the install after I had to heavily modify the Big Wing sump to fit. So various bits like the air filters and wiring aren't sorted in the photo.
Toby Posted October 28, 2007 Report Posted October 28, 2007 Furry muff! Shame they are on or Wayne had just found you some HP!
