What were the years you seem to remember and have the best memories of? If you recognise these names, you'll know what I mean: Starpoint, Aurra, Dexter wansell, Cerrone........

I remember One Pound Notes, the launch of the Sinclair C5, the arrival of Channel 4, Half Penny coins, Bejam , and when Halfords only sold push bikes. Those of you who know me will know I have always been heavily into music, so I remember all choooons from the 80's onwards

The Lybian Embassy seige, seeing the ZX81 adverts in the Sunday supplements. John Lennon getting shot. The New Years Eve party I went to in 79 at the neighbours. Getting a CB in '81. Getting it taken off me in '82 because my grades at school had slipped. Coming home from schoolin '86 and seeing the space shuttle challenger blow up on John Cravens Newsround.
ann_capri Posted November 4, 2007 Report Posted November 4, 2007 i can remember sing brown girl in the ring when i was little and a few of the 70's music ,i can also remember half pennies and the pound note the most popular car in town was a ford ,night clubbing at 15 and pocket money was 10p or 20p,and when the commodor 64 first came out with a tape deck to load your games on ,and a song i think was someting like hip,hip side your hands everyone sat on the floor like a boat ,oh and the birdie song ,films like chitty chitty bang bang,mary poppins, wizard of oz ,i could go on and on with this but i think that will do ,so many memorys
ZetecVan 2.0 Posted November 4, 2007 Report Posted November 4, 2007 I remember watching Y Viva Espana by Sylvia (I was 3) on a black and white portable tv with a really bad picture, whilst on holiday in a static caravan in the pouring rain in Scotland. I also remember being on holiday at Stratfield Saye in 1977 when my dad came back to the caravan to tell us that Elvis had died.

I must just be on that verge of not being old I remember the video shop at the end of our road used to have VHS down one side and Betamax down the other. That didnt last long We had a telephone like Jo's too. Was it British telecom engineers who used to have the little red and white(?) tents to keep dry when they were doing repairs?
