Jimbob-Squarepants © Posted October 27, 2006 Report Posted October 27, 2006 It really does escape me! ***WARNING*** Jimbob, wants to rant, & you said to discuss Mr. Sam Car manufacturers spend millions developing cars, and they spend that money on designing the thing from the start, right up to the end process of building the thing. They spend alot of time testing components, wind tunnel time testing aerodynamics, & engine testing for power, performance & economy. Admitedley, I am not a lover of French automotives, but they spend as much as other companies like Ford, Jaguar, Nissan to name a few. The end result is a vehicle that the company is proud of, and not to mention throwing more money at launching and advertising the car. So what happens next???? The car is sold to a Chav like person due to a smokey deal at the dealership for a years free insurance, then consequently ragged to hell. Said Chav like person gets some Halfords vouchers for Xmas where he treats himself to a socket set and lots of bolt on plastic crap. They then retire home with a boot full of chud, and then proceeds to glue/nail/gaffer tape (delete as applicable) onto said vehicle. They then get it painted a shite colour and cruise the unsuspecting streets with their bread-bins thinking they look well 'ard. Little do they realise, the car and the driver look totally obsurd and the car has been de-valued more than it would have been anyway. They then think, "well fablon, I have had a wicked time making this car look like a hover craft/space shuttle/snow plough (delete as applicable) I think I will sell it, coz it really is worth selling" The final stage of the poor old vehicles life is spent in the classifieds of Lax Power or Redline magazine with a totally over the top asking price never to be sold!!!!! How do they think that with a handfull of Halfords vouchers and a shitty little toolkit, they can improve on something a manufacturer has spent years and shed loads of dosh developing????? (Not applicable to our old Fords as they are old and can benefit with some alterations) Oh yeah, sorry, I forgot, they also fail to notify their insurance companies of any mods that they carry out! This is such a big problem some police forces are doing roadside checks to see if mods have been declaired. If they havn't, the cars are impounded and then crushed!!!!

105Nick Posted October 27, 2006 Report Posted October 27, 2006 Its a Clio. Well they may spend millions developing them but you can hardly blame the losers, what would you do if you bought something as bland as that .... well, okay, sell it and buy an OSF Airfix kits and Tonka toys shoulnt be allowed to breed though.
Mr Sam Posted October 27, 2006 Author Report Posted October 27, 2006 nicely said jimbob and to clear thigs up i think its awful, would get far more respect with rusty arches and faded red paintwork
