this week i was given no overtime at work

 

mainly due to casual workforce employed for the xmas period

 

so i get to work at my normal time to find the place a complete mess, mailbags not emptied properly (your mail stuck in the bottom of bags)

mailbags not emptied at all or dispatched properly

 

then my manager expects me to clear up the mess these cheap immigrants have left for me and then to catch up on the work

 

i was so pissed off i came home. people wonder why royal mail is going down the shitter and thats exactly why, why not have paid me to do the work properly, im trained i know what im doin....

 

no they think its better to punish me (because i went on strike) by replaceing me with some non english speaking nigerians that havent got a clue and couldnt give a shit.

 

il be at the job center the rest of the week i cant take much more

M8 i went to a builders merchant today and there like the plague Then i went and had a look at a plastering job were some polacks have been and fook me it looked like a 10 year old had done it we are my friend being forced out of work I'm afraid in my opinion we will soon be the minority

I was watching a doc on BB4 late last night "are we happy now" or soemthing like that.

 

The jist of it was that so many kids growing up, get the "Haves" broadcast into their living room (Celebrity, must have life-style, bling, Cribs on MTV) and also see more super-rich on the street (in terms of entrepeneurs and investors who've made their fortunes), that they feel "I ain't never gonna achieve that" and causes 'em to think that a life of graft isn't worth the effort, so they look at the system, or cheating the system, as a way of avoiding work.

 

This countries in a right old pickle at the moment. So many people I speak to think the same, the big question is how do we right the situation?

Sorry Burns. I'm a bit touchy about this subject at the moment. Yes something needs to be done to maintain a balance between getting all the jobs that need doing done, but not at the expense of UK nationals being unable to get work as a result.

 

Trouble is if something rational isn't done sooner, it will end in something irrational being done later.

The trouble is, that if one party (usually the Tories) stands up and says we need to do something about putting controls in place, the other cry "Racists" "Xenophobes", etc.

Me there all turds and i nearly kicked the fook out of one today . I went around of my family's house today which is a council house and they have been told by the council that there having a new kitchen and they asked me to take a look if i was passing as the plastering that was being done didnt look right. So i pulled up and went in there and it looked like a 5 year old had done it I send to the prick are you happy with that he said yes why i said its fooking shit m8 look at all the float marks what you doing plastering araound the rad for fook sake he said thats how it is . That's Howe it is i said your a fooking waste of space so fook off .But i thought its not his fault its the cunting councils for employing them just to keep the cost down.Anyway later on my mum phoned me and said what the fook did you say to them at lunch time bla bla i told them straight how it is i said whys that then.They had the big boos man which is a polacks around tonight saying that please please we are still learning if you were have a kitchen done next year it would be spot on Apple Pies

Well seeing as they're saving all this money hiring untrained foreign workers, perhaps they'd like to treat your mum to re-doing it properly in a year.

 

You know my views about this. I've vented them enough on here already, but you're all pretty much on the point in this thread I reckon. Each time we look, the fault is with the employers (the money men). They're just trying to get the job done as cheap as possible, so the money can go elsewhere. In Local Government and the NHS, from what I can tell it's so enless middle manager can have endless meetings talking about how to get things done.

 

I've no objection to trained, skilled EU workers coming over here to help meet demand in construction. It's just like the how UK builders trooped over to Spain and Germany on the 80s, following the money.

 

But when some Boris turns up with a float in one hand and a whisk in the other, proclaiming to be a plasterer, there should be someone there to check that he can do the job properly. Chances are that person is in a feckin' meeting!!!

I supervise a bunch of polish cleaners in a local college. They only work 2 hours a day but they think it's ok to do 1 hours work then doss about for the other hour. Their standard of work is terrible and they moan like hell when pushed to produce higher standards. & today, i had to endure a bollocking from my boss for sloppy work. Needless to say two of them were given written warnings. They also talk in polish when they don't want me to hear what they're saying.

 

On a second point, where i live (HP5 if u wanna check it out), the polish have moved in in droves. Housing is impossible. I have been pestering the housing association for a house as i think 5 of us in a 2 bed flat is taking the piss.
