Hello everybody. Firstly, I cannot believe the size of this forum, over 8000 members! It must be the biggest forum I've ever registered with, and I've registered with a few over my time!

Anyway, I do not own an old skool ford, but I have over the years. I've had a couple of mk1 Fiestas, 10 years ago. I remember picking up my first one the day princess Diana was buried, I shall always remember that day because there was nothing quite like the feel of driving a chocolate brown mk1 with a vinyl roof on a nice September afternoon.

One particular conversion I have always been interested in, but only ever seen one, is a mk1 fiesta with an RS Turbo engine in it. Apparently it is a tight squeeze. It is such a rare conversion and I would love to see more.

I love mk1 and mk2 escorts, especially vans and estates. I remember a green mk1 Escort van with a Cosworth engine in it a few years ago in classic ford. Amazing van.

I like mk3, 4 and 5 Cortinas.

mk1 Granadas are amazing machines.

Basically I like anything unuasual, especially wolves in sheeps clothing, and I like completely standard concours, as if they just left the factory.

Thank you for reading, I do look forward to my time here and I would like to renew my passion for old fords and possibly buy one, but what to buy?

Are they really that hungry for maintainance?

p.s, I won't mention my high interest in mk3 Escorts, although you'll all have to admit, the shape is fast becoming very classic, I've had 5 of them, including a very nice xr3, before it was the xr3i. Beautiful car.
