Jimbob-Squarepants © Posted October 29, 2006 Report Posted October 29, 2006 We had a great time, shame we didn't get there earlier though. It was the Anglia's first proper jaunt out, but I had to keep stopping to try and sort out the vac pipe for the distributor. Met a couple more faces today, a big hello to : O_H_C, Pelvins, and a couple of other lads who I don't know Oh yeah, a really big hello to the geezer with the motorbike who decided to have a pop at us because of some wicked tyre smoking antics of a few other members. I loved it all, but he had no worries about not hiding his displeasure. Quote of the day from Mr. Happy Grumbling Bloke : "Why don't you lot get yourselves a life?" Yeah, I am really going to absorb that arent I? That quote coming from said bloke who was sitting in the car park on his own!!! So a big hello to you sir I will get to the next one earlier YKT, and thanks for a nice day with nice people & nice cars!!!
puddy Posted October 29, 2006 Report Posted October 29, 2006 Was a good meet!! Thought it was getting a little out of hand though with the burnouts IN the car park, don't wanna get us banned from there do we? I suppose it does add to the excellent ATMOSHERE,which the saturday ace cafe meet seemed to lack? puddy
Admin Mk2Jo Posted October 29, 2006 Admin Report Posted October 29, 2006 Was my first OSF meet with my Mk2 ghia. Nice to see such a variety of cars, all of them interesting. See ya next time petrolhead matt Never got to meet you Matt ..... come and introduce yourself next time ..... but your car looked the dogs mate .... love those wheels Nice to meet some new faces - tiddler - hope you get your 100e back from the bodyshop soon Roll on 2007
Doc Posted October 29, 2006 Report Posted October 29, 2006 wish i lived closer I drove from Glasgow to go once ! Aint no excuse buddy ! Oh but it was a fooking long way! lol Good day out though......
petrolhead Posted October 29, 2006 Report Posted October 29, 2006 Thanks el sumo & mk2Jo, I clocked your cars too! I spent most of my time talking to an old friend I hadn't seen in ages. The last I heard was he was paralysed and in a wheelchair from a parachuting accident so it was quite a shock to see him walking about and grumbling as usual. I'll make more of an effort to meet & greet next time. I'm easy to spot 6'5", permanent tan and no hair. till next time petrolhead Matt
KEVSWAYV6 Posted October 29, 2006 Report Posted October 29, 2006 Great meet at Boxhill yesterday, nice to see a full car park of osf's. The burnouts help create an atmosphere, but must admit we don't want to get banned from there. Boxhill is an exellent place for these meets, it's a bit easier to get to than the Ace Cafe, (for me anyway) , here's looking forward to some more great 2007 meets where ever.
Tango Posted October 29, 2006 Report Posted October 29, 2006 .........It was great to see my old car getting out and about, and looking nicely polished too!!
