does anybody know where i could get a old skool ford - preferbably escort - body shell for tamiya tt01 1/10th scale r/c car. dont want it to be too expensive as it will be used as my everyday shell as i dont want to smash up my subaru shell cause my dad spent ages painting it. also id prefer if it was one on the ones where you paint it from the inside as i thiknk they provide a better finish.

cheers and thanks in advance guys

I asked this very question a few months ago and there does'nt seem to be any made, at least not in the scales you have asked for. Think Mardave do a couple, not sure what scale they are and they come up quite often on gaybay.

XpackGlynn is the man to ask for advice on this mate

Kamtek (ebay)do em, in 200mm and 190mm wide versions, for a tt01 you want a 190mm unless you use wide wheels (like the hpi retro ones) then you can fill the arches and go for the better 200mm arched shell.

go for lexan for the better finish, abs is cheap but looks gash.

mardave are smaller 1/12th abs, very cheap though, normally around a tenner........

and at the other end of the scale you have the 1/5th mk1 race/zakspeed mk3 capris, these will set you back around 300 for a fully painted shell and around 700 quid for a basic petrol chassis up to about 2 grand for one with gears and disc brakes on all wheels and an LSD.

Oh, and surelly better to smash up the subaru shell than an OSF one

too bloody right mate, ive been on at kamtek to do the old group B rally car shells for the marder largescale models, metro 6R4 and RS200 would be awesome, but so far its fell on deaf ears, considering most people that can afford largescales are well over 30 by now youd think he would sell loads.
