James, you need to be careful what you put onto silicone because certain products (especially if they are abrasive) will eat into the silicone or damage it (you will only know about it when they burst on you or become brittle) :wink:

muc off is fine, its a motor and push bike cleaner its fine on rubber and silicone, though dont get it on any braking surfaces :roll:

bit of brake cleaner dose the trick i use it on my ignition leads :thumbsup:

 

be careful Ritchie .... brake cleaner will eat into the silicone :wink:

The best thing i have ever used is baby wipes,they clean the hose like new,also use them for marks on seats like oil

 

Oil? That's what ya callin' it now 'eh? :lol:
