Admin Vista Posted December 9, 2007 Admin Report Posted December 9, 2007 gonna have to print that off someone and pass it roud the rel 'hunt' they passed through earlier today being a country bumpkin it makes me irate some fookin do gooder city based goverment can tell us country folk what we can and cant do.......it just the EU slowly killing off ENGLISH traditions in some aim to make a united state Sorry Sam, I'm also a country bumpkin and whilst I understand the frustration of the people the hunt ban has affected, I can't subscribe to the argument that it's ok to hunt a wild animal with a pack of savage dogs that will rip it apart if or when they catch it. Population control of pests is one argument that I hear the red jacket brigade crowing from their lofty pedestals as they climb straight from their expensive cars and onto horseback. Well if foxes are indeed a pest then there has to be better ways of controlling their population than this, I mean lets add all the hunts in the country together, how many foxes do you think they catch each week? Personally I've no idea but I doubt it's enough to be an effective means of population control. As far as I'm conerned hunting is about bloodlust and I don't believe any animal should have to suffer that level of terror and pain to satisfy the needs of the priviledged few to have a "jolly fine day out on horseback". Over the years peoples attitude in general has changed towards these sorts of activities, can you imagine the uproar if someone was to propose we bring back bear baiting? Well what's the difference between that and the hunt?
Trevmk3 Posted December 9, 2007 Report Posted December 9, 2007 what does fox taste like? is it like chicken? we could hunt it to eat to get rid of the pests love the picture ratman
sambo Posted December 10, 2007 Report Posted December 10, 2007 Well said Vista, There is just no excuse for it. Makes my blood boil to think that people think they have a right to go out and kill for no reason. Whats is the difference between fox hunting and bear baiting or even dog fighting? it just blood sport for entertainment and nothing else. Controlling the population my arse. Grrrrr
sambo Posted December 10, 2007 Report Posted December 10, 2007 Just realised i seem have got all serious with this! sorry, just ignore the angry response. !! its just something i feel a little passionate about.
sab6024 Posted December 10, 2007 Report Posted December 10, 2007 Just realised i seem have got all serious with this! sorry, just ignore the angry response. !! its just something i feel a little passionate about. Don't worry about it. I'm not one for hunting either just thought the photo was funny
Stu_B Posted December 10, 2007 Report Posted December 10, 2007 It is a quality pic, but the issue of fox hunting is ridiculous, as much as the cruelty issue annoys me, the real issue I have with the hunt is a load of toffs thinking they own the place!! My Dads boss is a hunt master & the meets were always held up the road from my house, I was looked at like scum for just trying to drive down the road to my own house! Cover 'em in fox scent & send a pack of hounds after the stuck up fookers I say!
