Anglia68 Posted December 28, 2007 Author Report Posted December 28, 2007 Thanks for all the positive replies. They've given me a real boost for the rest of the project. Cheers everybody,
Copey Posted December 29, 2007 Report Posted December 29, 2007 Your silencer looks a bit low Pete. Watch those speed bumps... Yeah,I know. It's a stupid silencer in a stupid place,it will be moved or replaced...probably. is it a peter lloyd one by anychance, coz mine on the capri is, and it is pretty low too
Anglia68 Posted December 29, 2007 Author Report Posted December 29, 2007 Those wheels look massive on 'er. Do you really think so??? They're only 7 x 13"s, I must be used to them I guess because I'm thinking about fitting 8's or maybe even 9's. Too much???
Anglia68 Posted December 29, 2007 Author Report Posted December 29, 2007 is it a peter lloyd one by anychance, coz mine on the capri is, and it is pretty low too God knows what it is!!! Some home brewed single silencer jobbie, just needs the silencer moving to the back I reckon. Having read various things on the internet about Peter Lloyd I wouldn't touch 'em with a barge pole.

Is it a twin box system or a single? I have heard on a single box system it is best for performance to have it as far back as possible anyway so that sounds like a plan. Current wheels IMHO look wicked. Would you be able to keep it so low with wider ones?
ZetecVan 2.0 Posted December 29, 2007 Report Posted December 29, 2007 The wheels are spot on Pete. However, if you do change them and want to sell them, I want first dibs...
Mick The Cabbie Posted December 29, 2007 Report Posted December 29, 2007 Nice motor mate It looks hard as nails! Proper street racer that If ya go for wider rims, what arches are ya gonna use?

It's just a single box and now you've told me it's better at the back then that's where it's going.......if I haven't ripped it of by then of course.

Sorry Mike,I've only borrowed the wheels and will have to give them back.......one day. Besides, you've had two sets of wheels off me already and the van, what more do you want???

I was thinking about Golf arches as they are a nice radius and have a nice flare to 'em too. I've seen an Anglia with them fitted and they look the dogs.

Should look good
