X-pack-Glyn Posted January 3, 2008 Author Report Posted January 3, 2008 So basicly what you are saying is that because my tuned pinto is in a capri and not an escort its performance is much lower then?
tim Posted January 3, 2008 Report Posted January 3, 2008 think it depends if the escort owner has a 2door or a 4 door
Twinkle Posted January 3, 2008 Report Posted January 3, 2008 think it depends if the escort owner has a 2door or a 4 door FPMSL i dont know if i can partake in this thread as i have both 2 and 4 doors of the mk1 and also the mk2 escort variety and have also been known to dabble in a bit of capri loving and am in fact looking at bidding on one on ebay at the moment
Noodles Posted January 3, 2008 Report Posted January 3, 2008 If i had to have a everyday OSF it would be a mk3 capri, i aint got no beef
blower Posted January 4, 2008 Report Posted January 4, 2008 surely you know... no ? ... psstt , the bonnets too long for starters ,
james p Posted January 4, 2008 Report Posted January 4, 2008 im not allowed one mum banged her head on one once and has hated em since
Mr.Sumo Posted January 4, 2008 Report Posted January 4, 2008 i always thought they looked at each other ..... but then i guess it depends on how much they"ve been lowered....................
mk1super Posted January 4, 2008 Report Posted January 4, 2008 i have both 2 and 4 doors of the mk1 and also the mk2 escort variety Thats just pure greed, can you spare me one? Please

herb capri Posted January 4, 2008 Report Posted January 4, 2008 ive got a thing for capris HATE RICK ASTLEY love mk1's ,i think the escort mk1 2 was always a rally sport machine, where the capri had the bodey -doyle/ wide boy /wheel spinning/could have been a contender tag hung on it now i also have a mk1 escort and schitsophenia
Pipster007 Posted January 4, 2008 Report Posted January 4, 2008 I have one of each.................I don't look down on myself
antz Posted January 4, 2008 Report Posted January 4, 2008 think it depends if the escort owner has a 2door or a 4 door whats that supposed to mean? everywhere you go there is always someone up themselves thinkign they have the best car and they are the best blah blah blah...just ignore it. id love a mk3 capper 2.0s cant afford it though
Twinkle Posted January 4, 2008 Report Posted January 4, 2008 I look down on escorts & capris lower yer fookin suspension then
RFChris Posted January 4, 2008 Report Posted January 4, 2008 Surely it's nothing more than a case of preference? I have had a couple of opportunities to own both MK1 and MK2 Escorts in the past but i haven't bothered. I like Capri's, nuff said. I don't care about the image they HAD, thats gone now. It's got nowt to do with doors, engine or image, it's a case of what people like. And while i find it difficult to comprehend the notion of another old Ford owner "looking down on me" then i say more fool them. The scene isn't about being narrow minded, it's about being involved in a fantastic common interest. Let the Saxo boys argue over who's generic car is the best, it's what they're good at. And quite frankly, if you're doing your bit to keep another old Ford on the road then your car is as goos as anyone's if you ask me. Chris

Stu_B Posted January 4, 2008 Report Posted January 4, 2008 I look down on escorts & capris lower yer fookin suspension then I love 'em all! I've had a mk3 capper, currently have a mk3 tina & an Anglia estate. I'd love a mk2 4dr Ghia on superlights but don't think I'll ever afford one with the way prices are going
sab6024 Posted January 4, 2008 Report Posted January 4, 2008 I wasn't aware Escort owners looked down on us Capri owners I've had mk1 Escy's in the past and have my Capri now. I would kill for another mk1 though but I' not getting rid of Goldie
