Kev ill whip you around a track any day m8 :ykt::beer:

You probably would mate  depends if its a short twisty track or one with long straights, you cant beat aspirated power on the shorter track, instant grunt but on the longer tracks i would be waving bye bye :ykt::mrgreen:

Thing is ive got the sort of power now that demands a tyre size of at least a 235 or bigger,im doing it on 195 normal run of the mill road tyres. If i put some sticky tyres on it for the track it would be alot better :beer:

yeah mate i saw you at ford fair sliding when you gave it some :D:D

That was good fun but an absolute waste of time, wheelspin in 4th gear on that day, must of been the warm tyres and tarmac

Maybe if i evedr can afford to arch it,then it will be a bit better on the track,we all know how paul baileys car used to go on track 8)

sure i saw kev jenkins run a 10 something last year ,

is he not the fastest n/a ??

yes but kev isnt n/a as he use's nos so thats classed as forced induction isnt it?

Yes nitrous is a "supercharger in a bottle" that runs out after 60 seconds and then costs another £60 to fill up again

no , forced induction is supercharged or turbocharged , nos is not forced induction , thasts why a engine with nos is still classed as n/a

:lol::lol: Alright mate  Fastest turbo mk 1 Cortina coming along alright?

I agree N2O should be in the forced induction class though. It's adding oxygen and fuel just like the other methods.

B.P do that 102 ron fuel which is silly money, but then its a waste of time putting it in your car unless it has been remapped to put more ignition in it.

Dal's car flys with the full interior in it,but its a mk1 and they are lighter to start with anyway

I think its time for a roll cage in his car next to hold the poor thing together :D

Im thinking of putting some sound deadening and carpet back in mine i if get a chance to do it. It will probably do the same times as before as its not that much weight going back in it.

Im flat out on Ickys mk2 duratec at the mo,then he has another mk2 lined up for me to do,so wont get much time to work on mine. :(

Surely Trevor's RS win's fastest 1/4? I'm sure he's run 9's & it is road legal. In bits now though I think!

Yes it is the pastest 8 pot, most of us are talking about 4 pot engines that can go around a track fast too

do ladder bars make you go faster?

Yes mate,it puts the eqivilant to around 2 ton of weight onto your rear tyres as you launch,as it puts the center of gravity towards the middle of the car as you launch or something like that. As you launch the cars body goes up and puts the weight down on the tyres.

Most of the boys in malta run ladder bars, thats why they launch so well and are a one type of race sort of car, only good for quarter mile stuff.

But then with ladder bars it makes your car only good for going in straight lines,no good for bends as it lifts the rear wheels in the corners.

But with a properly designed and installed 4 link you can have the geometry of a anti-squat ladder bar set up and then change it back to road spec ....... as we have discussed in the past Kev

I do believe fastest turbo 4 cylinder car on the street is a car Puddy was involved with, 105E 9.42 hehe

As for fastest old skool ford(MOTd)....Allen Curtis 9.1 on the back wheels for 60 feet.

All in a 300e van with a small Block.
