I think he's still got it but not seen it for donkeys years . My mate went round his house a few months back and he's now also got a mk1 escort with an atmo YB 16v pinto in it , so watch out YEAH but theres a FORD v8 in trev's.......... rover v8 in gaz's terms....'is cheatin' sorry

Has anyone ever done it or know anyone that's done it then ? This could be a target for next season then! Kev1320 run a 13.0 on o48's I think, without gas. I recon I will be close, if not there! Did KJ do a 13.0 with his new set up (front spaceframe , drag gearbox etc) or with his old one (proper escort body and normal gearbox) ? It would be really great if a few more N.A. 4 pot street legal motors can do this for sure mate . So far only Wayne from W.P.E. has done it then (by the sound of it) so mucho respect for that to Wayne . A 12.14sec at 111mph is foooooooking awesome , that means he could also do that down the bypass

Next. -edit- Yours don't count Darren, it coesn't conform to gaz's rules Dave College , Darran Moss and Tango where very close though , it could be done soon by one of those boys but they're all running slicks these days If they ditched the slicks and fitted micky thomson ET drag radial tyres i recon it could be done. Street eliminator wanted to ban these tyres for being too good.

Some are all just tubing bent to shape and just clothed in oldskoolford panels on the outside . DarrenM's V8 Capri is still a capri , Ray harris's V8 capri is still a capri , V8ian's mk2 cortina is still a mk2 cortina , that green mk2 granada is still a granada though and they're are many more . No offence to all the chaps with spaceframed , big block, huge rear wheeled oldskoolford drag cars is intended though as they are still ace

When i'm saying street legal I MEAN a street legal set up so no slicks or M.O.T. bits missing etc . It must have brakes on all 4 wheels , exhaust system , a handbrake , wipers , lights , all the panels on it which open and close , etc etc if you get my drift . So now for the turbo 4 cylinder posse it must be dal1cos with the yellow mk1 escort whos done an 11.0 secs on street tyres and for the N.A. posse it must be ........................ So to recap on the above question i asked earlier we can now update the list then . V8 power = 60footman mk2 escort with 9.98 secs (can you confirm that this was done without gas please ) , 4 cylinder turbo power = Dal1cos mk1 escort with 11.0 secs , 4 cylinder N.A. power = Wayne W.P.E. anglia with 12.14 secs . What about the V6's then ?

What sort of spec you running on your car? How much BHP does your car have? Just curious!!! Just to keep over-head-cam from sobbing later here's the original post . We've almost sorted the fastest up the strip section for turbo and N.A. and there's no point in answering the BHP question as not all dynos are equal . That leaves the fastest around a circuit question . This is harder because you don't get time slips for this so unless your in a proper race series it's usually just mates timing using their watches and phones .

That car will be a 10 sec car when sorted looking at the spec. My own Capri will be pulled apart and built into my MK1 Capri which should be faster. It will be lighter, have 2.0 or 1.6 diff, no heavy stereo etc. I will try slicks and would love to get it into the 11's N/A all steel and regularly used on the street and Castle Combe Action days.
