R1.Andy Posted January 8, 2008 Report Posted January 8, 2008 as im not allowed to post up my old ford yet as it still in bits and no restos allowed.. and being as im getting into this forum stuff hear goes my ride at the mo is a 1980 mini 1275gt all these go faster bits on it the zorst reminds me of when i was 17 sounds sweet and for a mini it goes ok..as mini's go feels fast cos ur skating along the floor. but it has the old car feel and i get hundreds of waves and people coming up to me in the petrol stations..i lourve ur car m8.. cant wait till me cortina is back on the road.then i can sell me roller skate and one of these for when i want to go proper fast and behave like a 17 yr old again on dryer warmer days

R1.Andy Posted January 9, 2008 Author Report Posted January 9, 2008 Tis Satan dam you oh bike faster than a 96 blade Tidy R1 mate not many about as clean and original looking cheers m8 i looked every where for a genuine tidy one and was gonna do so much to it but cant bring myself to cut it about..but i have fitted a high level venom can. after crashing my 1st R1 i said id never get another but missed it so much i brought this one. i like the blades but having rode a few i dont feel right on them soming about the position from seat to bars. the r1 is comfy for me so i took to it better
mk1super Posted January 9, 2008 Report Posted January 9, 2008 Yeah blades do have a certain riding position, you either like or gives you a bad back and the 16in front wheel puts a few off to. Having said that R1's pushed are just as twitchy. Mate of mine went through a bus shelter due to his R1 deciding it no longer wanted him aboard He was ok bar having 2 broken wrists and concusion the R1 was scrap Bus shelter did fair well either, and the bus company tried to bill him for its repair
Cookie Posted January 9, 2008 Report Posted January 9, 2008 Bikes scare the cr*p outta me I must say I have had off road bikes since I was about 13, and then thought it would be a good idea to take a 900 crb fireblade px on a coupe turbo I was selling about 5 years back, yea I need to stay away from superbikes, never been more scared to go over 30 on or in anything in my life I would like another bike but I would go for more of a cruiser that I could put lots of shiney chrome bits on and is load enough to registar on the rickter scale oh and minis I love, if there was no old fords then i would be into minis big time,

mk1super Posted January 9, 2008 Report Posted January 9, 2008 another good reason not to ride bikes glad he was okay, love my field bike but id never have one on the road Mate he now races a Honda Cbr600 At clubman level so it hasnt put him off a bit, he just keeps his speed for the track now, which i feel is the best place for it. Bikes although not offering the same amout of protection as a car arent as dangerous as the masses think, the bike will only go as fast as you want it to go, and if you hoon around you will have a spill should that be on or off road. And Cookie dont get a cruiser get the new 1000cc Fireblade very well mannered unless you want it to be bad They wheelie well to Not that i know that of course
