FlashCadillac Posted January 14, 2008 Report Posted January 14, 2008 how easy is it to roll a car handbreak turing it iv never done one.... im scared the car is going to stop dead and roll over
MexDan Posted January 14, 2008 Author Report Posted January 14, 2008 how easy is it to roll a car handbreak turing it I haven't ever seen a car rolled on an autotest before, I've seen some cock a wheel but thats about it. To roll a car you have to be travelling at quite a speed... Hand brake turns are all about transfer of weight, so the wheels to are sliding carry little weight so they slide round a car. Grass is less grippy than tarmac so there is even less chance of it happening!!
Daggle Posted January 14, 2008 Report Posted January 14, 2008 This sounds like a bit of me, just have to finish the damn car first
john_3.0s Posted January 14, 2008 Report Posted January 14, 2008 youd have a job to get a wheel up or roll it on grass, unless its really really bumpy just let yer tyres down to about 10psi and remember some selotape
60ftman Posted January 14, 2008 Report Posted January 14, 2008 Sounds like a great laugh. If the dates don't clash with anything else I'll bring escy along and prove that you really can be the slowest with all that power!
pauln Posted January 14, 2008 Report Posted January 14, 2008 Sounds like fun. Is there any way of getting some practice in before the day.
MexDan Posted January 14, 2008 Author Report Posted January 14, 2008 Well you could always give your local supermarket carpark a go... There are lots of Autotests for all sorts of cars all over kent. Tunbridge Wells Car Club do one and there is also one run at Headcorn Areodrome by Maidstone MC i think
bomber1 Posted January 14, 2008 Report Posted January 14, 2008 could be a giggle. if it dont clash with work?
PaulAshman Posted January 15, 2008 Report Posted January 15, 2008 Defo up for this one, sounds like a real laugh
FlashCadillac Posted January 15, 2008 Report Posted January 15, 2008 i bet i go the wrong way..... but im well up for it depending on dates
mk2_escort_chick Posted January 15, 2008 Report Posted January 15, 2008 I used to do production car trials and I've done an autotest before. I did that in my dad's pug 205 1.9 gti. It was a right giggle Count me in
