Guest cortinamad-gonetoo Posted February 25, 2008 Report Posted February 25, 2008 easy get either a fuckoff big dog or a cat litter tray
over_head_cam Posted February 25, 2008 Report Posted February 25, 2008 There's quite a few cat's on the estate here, but their shit doesn't seem to be a problem. There seems to be plenty of foxes crap though. What I want to know is why they shit on things, rather than the floor?
sambo Posted February 26, 2008 Report Posted February 26, 2008 My old man just shovels it up and flings it over the fence back to where it should have originated. Quite a funny sight actually, seeing flying poo in a perfect arc over the fence!

Quite a funny sight actually, seeing flying poo in a perfect arc over the fence! I laugh as ours comes back over the fence too!! My neighbour suggested I dig a bit of soil over so it has somewhere to go in my own garden, maybe I could dig some cat litter into the ground too as I think that attracts the movement!! He has threatened to wipe mustard round it's arse, so that might work! It's a dirty job but someones got to do it!! (and Burns I dont think the mustard is to make it taste better!!)

Nettles Posted February 26, 2008 Report Posted February 26, 2008 Vista I’m glad to see that you’ve changed your mind regarding your solution to the local cats in your neighbourhood. I do sympathize with your illness and can understand your resentment towards cats because of it. Unfortunately it would seem that a few small-minded people think that it’s ok to openly post comments condoning cruelty to animals in this post. As an animal lover I find this conduct extremely annoying and unnecessary. I’m sure that yourself as an OSF moderator would agree that the promotion of cruelty to animals whether serious or in jest has no place within the OSF community.
MK2Ed Posted February 26, 2008 Report Posted February 26, 2008 Try different repellants from B&Q and do the cat with water if the opportunity arises... They're not slow to apply logic and tend to keep away...

I’m sure that yourself as an OSF moderator would agree that the promotion of cruelty to animals whether serious or in jest has no place within the OSF community. I've not so much changed my mind, more that I accept (and always did) that it'd be wrong to shoot someone elses pet regardless of how much I wanted too. As to the cruelty to animals comment I couldn't agree more. It's fundamentally wrong and wholly unneccessary, which is why I will always vote against blood sports that involve animals. The most recent of which to be banned is fox hunting (rightly in my opinion). However I have always accepted that fox's are considered a pest and as such I do support control of their population by other means. Now bringing the subject of pest control closer to home, I would not put up with fox's in my garden causing problems nor do I want moles digging up my lawn or slugs and snails eating my plants. As in the old saying "one mans meat is another mans poison", my neighbours cats may be beloved by them but they are no more than pests to me and I don't see why I shouldn't be able to take whatever steps I need to rid myself of them.
surfingturnip Posted February 27, 2008 Report Posted February 27, 2008 sprinkler system on some sort of motion sensor?
pauln Posted February 27, 2008 Report Posted February 27, 2008 It's reasonable that people should not be annoyed by others pets. So if my cat comes home after taking a soaking no problem, perhaps she will learn to stay away (better for everyone). If my cat come home with anything broken or embedded in her body i'm going to hunt you down.

Don't worry you'll find me easily enough, I'll be the one carrying the shovel-full of cat shit and you'll likely be wearing it before getting close enough to do anything
