trispage Posted March 5, 2008 Report Posted March 5, 2008 Anyone has seen my old mk1 escort any where, been trying to find it but no joy. HCV 427L 1300e. Any info would be great. Cheers Tris
Admin Vista Posted March 5, 2008 Admin Report Posted March 5, 2008 got any pics to post up? few people remember a reg number. I assume you've tried the dvla search engine to see if it's still road taxed?
trispage Posted March 5, 2008 Author Report Posted March 5, 2008 Will try and dig some pics out. DVLA says it was last taxed in 1995. Points to it being scrapped but just hoping someone might have it in a garage or barn or anywhere
MexDan Posted March 5, 2008 Report Posted March 5, 2008 Unfortunatly mate it sounds like its been scrapped... very few of these cars that have been untaxed for that long are actually being restored (13 years is a long time!! Atleast you can take hear that its probably been made into something useful... like a spoon Get some pics up tho mate... you never know and it would be great to see it in its former glory!!!!

I just taxed my 2.0GT, its fisrt tax in 26 years hope they dont ask for the back tax
FredTransit Posted March 6, 2008 Report Posted March 6, 2008 our Mk1 LWB transit was in a bad smash 31 years ago (bought accident damaged) but she will be back on the road later this year! The first and previous owner put her away after the crash in a garage. Right now if he did a search with the DVLA, it would look as if the van might have been scrapped. Your car might be still out there, stranger things have happened.....
antz Posted March 6, 2008 Report Posted March 6, 2008 a certain engine tuners i know have a mk2 granny ghia X tucked up in their barn and has been since it was 4 years old.
