4parajon Posted March 8, 2008 Report Posted March 8, 2008 There was an orange one in the TS banner untill recently Mike when they changed it, think the arches were bubbled though. Dont think Ive seen a mk1 with them on with standard arches, seen a few mk2's and they look.......different. I'm selling mine
oliwally Posted March 8, 2008 Report Posted March 8, 2008 nick had a yellow mk1 mex with them on. have some pics of it. i'll dig them out in a bit
morcheen Posted March 9, 2008 Report Posted March 9, 2008 was that the car that was from north london? was in one of the ford mags a few years back. the owner made up a cock n bull story about where he got the rims from and fitting them !
4parajon Posted March 9, 2008 Report Posted March 9, 2008 sweeeet shame we cant all have em! Well you could if someone bought my set off me
mk1super Posted March 9, 2008 Report Posted March 9, 2008 What mods are needed to get em on the mk1?????
druim Posted March 9, 2008 Report Posted March 9, 2008 you need the narrower axle from a anglia etc+175/50/13 rubber
Guest MK1gaz Posted March 9, 2008 Report Posted March 9, 2008 Shorten the rear axle or swop to an anglia one and use spacers to push the wheels back out . Bolt straight on the front but stick out too much so i would move the front struts inwards with adjustable top mounts and bottom arms or something fancy
morcheen Posted March 10, 2008 Report Posted March 10, 2008 my brother took the axle off the red one,it got shortened and he refitted it,but from the piece in the mag i think the owner was pissed and made up a fairy tale.the car used to be a very well known until it got nicked, but luckily had a massive agreed value
Mk 1 Mark Posted March 10, 2008 Report Posted March 10, 2008 I have a race with it back in the day.....Lights to bridge in southgate on the north circular...was a nice looking car
