Tracey Posted March 19, 2008 Report Posted March 19, 2008 I had to TAX the Capper this morning and that cost me £101.75 for 6 months That's a bummer seeing as I had to Tax it from the start of this month Snap
sab6024 Posted March 19, 2008 Report Posted March 19, 2008 i somehow managed to escape the rise this year, got my reminder through the post and its still £180, that site says its gone upto £185 You'll still have to pay the full amount. It says it on your Tax Reminder "subject to knobneads in Parliament whacking the Tax up in the Budget"
caprinerd Posted March 19, 2008 Report Posted March 19, 2008 i know im going to get some stick but i dont have to pay for my tax as the capper is registered as a disabled car but dont they screw enough out of people for petrol
FredTransit Posted March 19, 2008 Report Posted March 19, 2008 The only ones I would tax online is the expempt vans, no way would I give the DVLA my credit card number! Also, as OSFs have no emissions logged at the DVLA by the manufacturers from new, which means we will still be paying the 'standard' road tax, which has gone up by £5. Our essex powered granny is still only £185, where as a (nearly) 3L post 2001 reg'd car would be more, so there are some good things about driving an OSF.
JAY PS Posted March 19, 2008 Report Posted March 19, 2008 So im paying £1000 for two vehicles in 2010 !!! And then the Granada at £185 i dont think so ! Looks like the BMW will be sold soon and the yellow van not far behind it !

Major_Tom Posted March 20, 2008 Report Posted March 20, 2008 I think it's great! It means all those mugs who drive "the new Nissan Navarre IT GETS RESPECT" or the Porsche not even a real kind of car Cayenne or the Toyota SchoolCruiser or the Kia Nobsworth or whatever it's called or any other kind of car the majority of us hate get stung for it real hard. If they get a smaller, gayer car we can mock them every day by running rings around them in a 30 year old car. It's happy days to be driving OSFs guys. Happy days.

I'm not a fan of Chelsea tractors either, but look into it a bit more. It affects a lot more than 4x4's mine is a very small car but has a decent size engine, ergo I get hammered Nor does it take into account mileage per annum, my 3 litre may produce more CO2 than a volkswagen rep mobile per km, but when he's doing 40000miles a year and I'm doing 10000, who's actually producing more CO2?
BIGKEV Posted March 20, 2008 Report Posted March 20, 2008 10000 miles a year why dont you just walk , you must think greener. You lazy sausage.
Admin Vista Posted March 20, 2008 Author Admin Report Posted March 20, 2008 10000 miles a year why dont you just walk , you must think greener. You lazy sausage. That would cost more than £430 in shoe leather
