Re-wrapped the exhaust manifold post welding, and fitted it and the carbs tonight.

 

Mechanically ready - all but a test trash!!

 

Just need to show it a sponge now.

Thats pretty much where I'm up to as well. Ive had to take off the rad and intercooler and all the hoses and re-mount 2 2wd cossie intercoolers (coz I could'nt get one made in time) and make all the fittings to connect everything back up. Ive also made myself a shiny new 3" exhaust......Gaz will be well impressed

Need to take it for a shakedown spin later today and give it a wash (bloody hate that job) and I'm ready too

Just fixing my oil leak from the cam cover , my bloody backs killing me crouching over the engine for hours scrapping off the old sealer . Lets hope it don't leak when i start it up or else they'll be a 3 hour oil trail to Brunters on friday .

Joe only uses a bit of sealer around the half moon seals near the cams, never along the whole gasket. My old engine had the cam cover off and on about 3 or 4 times with the same gasket, not one leak

looking forward to this, cant wait to show all you big power boys how slow my zetec is. you might be right pinto power might be the way forward gaz, ive got a proven 160 at sanspeed so will see how this compares to my mates 165 whos also coming?

mine had a river flowing out of the half moon thingys . Took no chances tonight and sealed the whole thing up with orange goo . Too late to fire it up now so i'll check for leaks tomorrow

The only BIG power car comming is Kevs i think (480 bhp ) . Most of us are turbo less but although no match for Kevs we may be able to give the other turbos a fright . Mad Micks atmo cossie will go well with a decent diff ratio and R888's , this car could set a real good time i reckon

My oil leaks fixed (well the cam cover one ) . I'm leaving at 6am so should get there at 9am , better late than never . My fooooooking brakes have gone all shite again so don't pull out in front of me please cos i can't stop !!!!!!!! . Trying to sort them out tonight
