feeling a bit shit today.

 

been with my girlfriend 2years and 3 months. we live 3 hours apart and since we have been together we have our ups and downs. arguments and general fall outs.

 

but the last few months its been getting mroe and more constant. the falling out etc etc...

 

and last night she told me that cars driver her mad and basically she doesnt understand my hobby/obsession....she said she doesnt want me to change or get a different hobby but she sometimes doesnt mention things to me cos she knows itll lead onto cars. AND....she told her mate about this and he said to tell me she is secretly a car to get her more attention....she comes before the car does. after all if theres a show on a weekend im with her then ill cancel the show and go see her instead.

 

Now today she sent me a text saying she thinks it might be best if we break up but now she doesnt know weather to or not. she is fed up of living apart and not being together much cos its like living two different world...(we only see each other once every 2 weeks but for the whole weekend)

 

so im feeling a bit shit at the moment cos i feel as if im in limbo whilst she makes up her mind weather she wants to stay together or go end it.........what a crap feeling.

 

anyway i just needed to tell someone to get thsi off my chest so sorry for wasting your time

yeh its just a pain. i dotn know what i can do. after all i travel for 3 hours every 2 weeks to see her (£80 in fuel) and spend the whole weekend at her house. ok im obsessed with cars but i cant exactly help it. its part of the package of being me.

 

I know she still loves me but i think the strain of the distance is taking tis toll on the relationship so id ont know what were doing now.

 

i wanan stay together but she isnt sure....so im stuck in limbo now until she decides what she wants to do.

Antz, sounds like you need to let her move on bud it'll hurt for a while but you'll be better for it. Anytime you hear "I don't want you to change, but......" in my experience it's girlspeak for "I'm going to make you miserable until you change!" If the arguments are that constant then the relationship can't be much fun anymore, think homw much less stressful both your lives would be without all the tension. I stuck at a relationship with someone I thought I loved (but argued with a lot) for about three years. When it ended I was gutted, but six months later I was wishing I'd ended it 18 months sooner than I did.

Antz, relationships are a two way thing. If you didn't drive, would she take the effort to come and see you??? It doesn't sound like it to me mate. I assume you were well into cars before you met her??? If so, she has no right to moan about it. You (hopfully) are the same chap she was attracted to then, so it's tough cheese on her part mate.

 

I bang on about cars, computers, I smoke a couple of fags a day, I swear like a trooper and I drop lead from time to time. If a girl doesn't like me for who I am (and in your case, for who you are), she can bike it mate.

I have to agree with everyone on here, she doesn't seem to want to make the effort. It maybe expensive for her to come and see you but if she really wanted to then she would. I pay on average £200 for a flight every month to go down and see Neil and I'm a student with a lowly paid part time job. If its something you want then you find the money no matter what.

 

It will be hard cause you've been with her for a long time but she should love you for who you are and not what hobbies you have. Big deal if you're into cars, she surely has her own hobbies which you dont particularly like?
