sambo Posted April 28, 2008 Report Posted April 28, 2008 As some may know, my escort is in the body shop getting painted in the Alan Mann red and gold scheme. the trouble is, is that i just dont know which red or even which gold to go for!! (the gold is even harder than the red!) Can anyone name all the ford reds, there's venetian (too orangy), monza?, rosso? Then there is the Ferrari Rosso Corsa red which is nice and is what i was going for initially. I have seen a really nice (ahem) citroen C1 today that was a lovley red! Now the gold. Any ideas peeps? Ford oyster gold? Some are too yellowy and some are too pale and champagney. He needs to know what paints to order soon so i have to decide!!!! Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

My car isnt 'mint' enough to have gloss black on it! it'll show every imperfection !! Cheers anyway mate. Yes there is alot of Alanm Mann cars out there but you never see 'em! None at the shows etc. Besides, it is what i have wanted for donkeys years so i HAVE to do it Red and Gold!!! This.... This... Or this..... Argggg!!!

Your car already looks tough as nails as it is, I can only imagine what it will be like with the red and gold! I'd go for the ferrari rosso for the red part anyway, just to be somebit different! as for the gold... can't help ya! I had a search around the place for you and all I'm finding is gold, no paint codes or anything close!
