Admin Vista Posted May 21, 2008 Admin Report Posted May 21, 2008 I had a Passola in 1985. It was completely illegal (I was 15) but I used to run around the village I lived in at the time. It ended it's days rather suddenly when it went up in flames about 4 feet from my mates dads brand new 7 series BMW. We were up in his room and heard all this commotion from outside, looked at the window and there's the Passola a massive ball of flame while his dad is chucking cupfuls of water at it shouting "my car, my car!!" I wasn't welcome round there for a while!
stevepeanut Posted May 21, 2008 Report Posted May 21, 2008 had a c90 for my 1st bike, the do go forever and do 90 mile to the gallon, but I'd get a CG125 to learn on, cos then you have a proper gear and clutch. The c90 has a centrifugal clutch where you have 3 gears, but you just stamp up and down them with out clutching. My bird bought a cg125, 18 month ago, and learned on that, then passed her direct access on a fazer600.
stevepeanut Posted May 22, 2008 Report Posted May 22, 2008 I think its October this year, they are changing the bike test, to make it a lot harder. A lot more of it will be done in a car park, with lots of silly manouvres, before taking to the road. So if you can, get it done before then and out the way. Most test centres dont have the space to accomodate this new test, so there will be a lot fewer bike test centres and the cost will go up.
