Fiesta Steve Posted February 6, 2007 Author Report Posted February 6, 2007 The car has had a warped manifolds since I got it and theres nothing worse that the sound of a leaking manifold. So at the weekend I decided to fit my new manifold. The old manifold was a bog standard cast jobbie with a single down pipe and a small silencer under the engine, so two boxes including the back box. The new one is a 4-2-1 system and removes the box from under the engine so its a single box system now. The manifold was made by Ansa and fits like a glove. The first thing I notice is the lack of sound now at tickover, I almost got used to the old chuffing manifold Blip the throttle and the back box gives a nice tone, just like it should do Quick test drive up the road puts a smile on my face as I accidently spun the wheels, deffinatly has more low down power. Quick test drive turns into long test drive as its like a different car now, seems to pull even better at the top end as well. MOT this month so will keep you updated

I haven't forgotten, it needs to be sorted for round one of the OSFDC which just happens to be after the first Ashford meet of the year so should be ready for then
